  8. As soon as I have one of my latest completed I will let everyone know and they can come and try it and see if they like it... I'll show you what a real cue can do with the right person behind it.....
  9. You slowely take the wood down to a certain point then use sandpaper up to and including as high as 2000 to 3000 grit. Then you use wood sealer and a clear coat that you wet sand to get all the imperfections out. A lot of time and effert and a lot of wood dust inhailed so when you blow your nose it is diferent colors.... really weird.... and disgusting.
  10. So I have decided to throw my hat into the ring as a cuemaker... Here are three of my works in progress. The first one is Birdseye Maple, with a wrap planed of antique white. The Second is Ebony, with a wrap planed of solid black. I think I am going to call this one "The Shadow." The final cue is Purpleheart with a solid maple handle no wrap planned. Might call this one "The Purple Cow". The first cue I made is know as the "Ugly Cue." I made the typical newbie mistakes and made my notes to ensure I did not make the same mistakes again. The good news is I am already starting to get offers on the these cues from friends, which I take as a very good sign. I am hoping to keep this as a hobby and not as my job. My current job pays too well to quit right now. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-3/1158952/BEMaple.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-3/1158952/Ebony.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-3/1158952/Purpleheart.jpg

    Tatto shop??

I have been Tattoo'd by "Dale" at Bootleg and by "Joey" at Body Language. I would recommend Joey over Dale. Here is a pic of the tat Joey did on my right arm (keep in mind I still have to get the final touch-ups done): http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d60/moccabee/Final.jpg

  20. Why does the console display read "Shift to reverse"
  21. For those of you who think this is fake, here is the website to prove you wrong. http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/xmaslights.asp There is also another video set to Jinglebells. http://www.msftlabrat.com/funstuff/jingle.wmv Origins: A video clip (viewable here or here) shows home Christmas lights synchronized to flash in time to a musical score, in this case Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Wizard in Winter" (from The Lost Christmas Eve album). This display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frquency and doesn't disturb the neighbors. The rough quality of the video has led some viewers to believe it was put together in stop-action form from still photographs, but that is an artifact of the high compression used in the clip circulated via e-mail. Mr. Williams has posted instructions for recreating his "Wizard in Winter" sequencing, and another of his choreographed Christmas light music shows can be viewed here.
  22. I second that... Joey Knuckles did mine. http://thewoodomain.net/files/14/final.jpg
