  1. That guy is a tool. Many questions can be answered by the B&G Page http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html The forums have people who've been there and done that: www.msefi.com If you need ignition contol: http://www.megasquirt.info/ms2/ or http://megasquirt.sf.net/extra/ Joel(Mudbutt), Clark(Jelloman) amd I'm sure some others have knowledge of the system. Over all its a very geat system for DIYers.
  2. They are citing only RON ratings. R+M/2 = 100 Octane http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/pdfs/fueltable.pdf
  3. Joe, I don't mean to debate you, but every report I have seen on E85 comes across as 100 octane rating. NDE and GM white papers cite it so. DJ, Only downside is, Ethanol by nature requires a lower stoich point, nearly half of gasoline. You would consume close to twice as much mile per mile, with petrol.
  4. Different timing and wayyy different fuel mapping. Most Flex fuel GMs/Fords have an alcohol % sensor which scales accordingly.
  5. QTP is lame. Cleveland winters ate 2 of them. DMH all the way. www.dmhperformance.com
  6. 7500 for an M car with 50 K on the clock with aftermarket rims wrapped in some nice rubber is still a great deal. The motor is already taken care of. Just waiting on the manifold and turbo....
  7. I spent money on an exotic enhancement.....................
  8. Do you know the differnce between a mallard and a sick duck? I forgot the rest but your mother is a whore.
  9. You WANT to work on a 3800 in ass cold weather? I sure as hell don't.
  10. Don't be mad someone can afford something and isn't in debt.
  11. The DME's that power the BMW motors are sorta tuner friendly. They store their information in seperate EEPROM (timing tables, fuel mapping, constants, etc) and can be removed and downloaded, disassembled and remapped. This sucks becuase you have to "chip" the ecu and can cause alot of headaches if not done perfectly. Karl @ AA and Nick G both have the ability to flash DME through the the ODBII port, saving alot of potential time in troubleshooting and remapping. Connecting to the car (via gateway) and enabling the transfer of information into the ecu's flash memory without having to pull the chip, and flash it using a programmer. George @ ICS pretty much consults Nick G and Karl to to do Remote Tuning. I hear Conforti is still working to sell his DME editor sometime...but that is just a dream from years ago. I'm no stranger to M cars
  12. how can you hurt my feelings when they weren't even there to startttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
  13. oh oh oh oh is that me???? :burn: What are your goals Hp wise, or cars you want to hang with?
  14. I would have tried Zip tieing the piston back together, but I figured it's not a DSM so it wouldn't work
  15. Hey homo, You going to ship my waste gate gaskets anytime soon? -Nate with the turbo GP
  16. Karl @ Active Autowerke George @ ICS Nick G @ Turbo Tech Emanage will work.... The problem isn't the engine management, it's the gateway used to connect to the engine management. A few have cracked it, but are riding out their investments, like woah.
  17. Why would we stuff a motor in there that makes less power
  18. Not in the hands of idiots (not referring to myself for once) Here's the deal homosexuals: Car isn't mine, just helping a friend out with a purchase. We went to PA to get this car and bring her home a few days ago. The car and original owner had a 150 shot of nitrous on it, nothing else except a Conforti Chip. Timing + Nitrous = boom. The guy said it just needed a head gasket, and let the car go for 7,800. It needs more then a HG.... It's a slick looking car though.
