  1. I live in East Boston now (near the airport) it is a lot nicer area than it used to be and is still fairly affordable at least for Boston. I lived in Fenway for 2 years when i first moved here. So far we like it up here, but the lack of a garage (and a real car) is killing me.
  2. Hello, been a long time, I never posted a ton but went to several racing events (I have since moved to Boston). Anyway I had a couple of questions I was hoping someone might know the answer to. My father's corvette was stolen a few weeks ago. Fortunately (I guess) it was recovered. It sounds like it is on blocks with the ignition column busted and some interior damage. My dad happens to be out of town when they found it so he has not actually looked at it yet. I was trying to come up with a list of things to make sure he checks on. To look for engine damage I was thinking a leak down and compression test? Make sure the trans is working well. Look for any external/exterior damage. What else am I not thinking of?? I think they were talking about taking it to Bob McDorman chevy (is it called something different now), any reason not to use them or any other place you would recommend? Also, does anyone know if stolen vehicles show up on carfax reports? They are wanting to get it out of the inpound lot as quickly as possible so the insurance company wanted to get rims/tire replacements ASAP. My dad was thinking about getting some different rims anyway so was thinking about seeing if he could order something other than the stock rims if there were the same price. Since this might take a little bit, does anyone know if vettes have the standard chevy pattern and we could just through something cheap/temporary on there while he orders the rims/tires he wants? Obviously they would have to fit over the brakes, but thought if we could through something on there it might buy a little time. Thanks, Matt
  3. I told a neighbor I would post this for him (He's not much into computers) and I thought someone on here might be interested. I know very little about the car so PLEASE call him rather than emailing or PMing me. Car located in Pickerington. 1968 El Camino, Aqua color 45,700 miles, original 327 4bl, automatic, new tires, new water pump, turned drums, minor rust on bed, engine and carb recently overhauled. Runs and sounds Great! Asking $10,400. Please call Eric 614-864-7471 (home) or 614-477-0090 (cell) Thanks, Matt
  4. I have agreed to sell the car for 6250 on Sunday if I do not get a better offer. if you can do better it is yours. Matt
  5. Sold, I think I am suppose to be happy but I am not.
  6. Man, I thought I had it sold (with mixed feelings) to someone in Penn. but his funding fell through.
  7. 2.4L 4 cyl. It has been a great car for us.
  8. if you haven't already, check http://www.buckeyestangs.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=47 there were a couple there. Matt
  9. Well maintained 04 eclipse GS, $6700. The car is an automatic (but allows manual selection) and is Deep Steel Blue (dark metallic blue) with 78900 miles on it. Original owner, non-smoker. The car has the Sun and Sound package including a premium stereo with indash CD player, alloy wheels, and a moon roof. The car has good tires and brakes. Oil has always been properly changed with Mobil 1 full synthetic (after initial break in). Car runs great with no mechanical problems, no leaks, and does not burn any oil. Problems are all cosmetic and include a few hail dents, some gravel chips on the hood, and a small hole in drivers side carpet below dead petal from my wife driving it everyday with heals on. Overall paint is in very good shape (waxed multiple times per year). Car has been an excellent commuter for us, it looks sporty but gets good gas mileage. We are moving to Boston and do not need a second car. Please contact me (Matt) if you have any questions or would like to see the car in person. Email matthew.stachler@gmail.com or call my cell at 614-570-4091. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/DSCF0462.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/DSCF0457.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/DSCF0461.jpg Man, between 2 cars, a condo, a TV, and misc other stuff I feel my entire life is for sale...

  11. FOR SALE 2001 FORD Mustang Bullitt Moving to Boston and can not keep my “fun” car. Car was bought in 2002 and has been very well taken care of. It is black with ~61,000 miles. It is number 4635 out of only 5581 produced (only 1818 black Bullitts produced). The car has an extensive list of modifications (see below) with only the best parts used and all were professionally installed. I also have all of the Bullitt specific parts that were taken off of the car. The car has been set up for autocross / road racing and handles very well, but retains stock interior for comfortable street driving. While the car has been taken care of, I am not going to lie and say the car has been babied and never raced. The car was built to drive and has been taken to several autocrosses, two NASA HPDE, and to the drag strip on the rare occasion. With the heavy 18x9 and 18x10 chrome rims the car trapped at over 110 MPH (I think it was 112 if I remember correctly). After brake in, I have always used synthetic fluids and changed them regularly. Lots of tread left on all tires. I have spent a lot of time and money (I don’t even want to begin to add it up, but around $16,000 if not more for just motor and suspension) on setting this car up and I receive constant compliments on it. I will be happy to go over receipts for people that are interested. I have listed most of the car’s setup below, but I am sure I have forgotten some things. Only problem that I know of is that there is a VERY slow drip for the rear diff cover. If you have any questions, please let me know. Ben (MrAutoX) has driven and can "vouch" for the car. I am asking $14,700 for everything. I can be reached at 614-570-4091 (Matt) or through email at matthew.stachler@gmail.com or stachler.9@osu.edu Bullitt Features (not including items removed from car) -Performance brakes (cobra brakes) -Unique C-pillar and glass -Unique rocker molding -BULLITT badging -Unique “heritage” instrument cluster -Brushed Aluminum accents -Unique seats -Underhood clear coat paint. -Bullitt intake Intake/Engine -Modular Depot superchips "flipswitch" tunes -Pro-M 95mm MAF with CAI -Fox lake “gasket matched” Bullitt intake -Fox Lake stage II port and polished heads w/ upgraded crower springs and Ti retainers -FFRP 30lb fuel injectors -Teskid aluminum block bored and sleeved to 3.7” (305 cubic inches) -Forged pistons (diamond racing) and forged rods (Manley H-beam) -Forged cobra crankshaft -cobra oil pump with billet gears -ARP bolts and studs throughout -Custom ground stage I cam -FFRP SVT focus fuel pump Exhaust -SLP stainless and ceramic coated Long tube headers -SLP stainless X-pipe -Flowmaster cat-back exhaust Drivetrain -Centerforce Dual Friction clutch -Fidanza aluminum flywheel -Carbon Fiber driveshaft -FFRP 31-spline axles -4.10 rear end gears and upgraded spider gears -18x9 chrome Bullitt rims on front with 265/35/18 Dunlop Direzza Z1 -18x10 deep dish chrome Bullitt rims with 295/40/18 Falken RT-615s -stock rims with 255/30/18 Dunlop Winter Sport M3 Chassis/Suspension -Complete Maximum Motorsports, maximum grip box -MM K-member (with 2-point brace) -MM Front Control Arms -Upgraded Heavy Duty MM Torque-arm -MM Panhard Bar -MM XL Series Full-length Subframe Connectors -MM Coil-over Conversion Kits, Front and Rear -Coil-over springs (400lb front, MM specified matching rate in rear) -MM Caster/Camber Plates -Upgraded MM Aluminum Extreme Duty Rear Lower Control Arms -Bilstein HD series struts and shocks (MM specified rates) -MM Adjustable Rear Swaybar -MM Aluminum Steering rack Bushings -MM Solid Steering Shaft -MM Bumpsteer Kit (adjustable outer tie-rod ends) -MM Strut Tower Brace -MM Front Swaybar Relocation Kit -Front Swaybar Bushings -Front Swaybar End Links Exterior -04 Cobra Bumper -04 Cobra hood -V8 side emblems -3” brushed Aluminum exhaust tips. -Black Ford oval Interior -Various brushed aluminum pieces -MRT short throw shifter -2 sets of floormats Photos are a little overexposed but you should get the idea. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/Car/car3-4b.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/Car/carside.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/Car/font3-4.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/docstach/Car/Interior.jpg
  12. Congrats Ben looks great!, I am glad I helped convert you. You will notice a big difference with the rear gears. 3.73s would be good. just FYI, I have had 4.10s in for years and it was my daily driver until last July (not really an issue). Then start on that suspension... Too bad I have to sell my car would have been great to have another mustang buddy at Mid-Ohio and AXs.
