wow!!! alright guys well I'm wanting to learn so I can eventually one day just work outta my garage on cars. As far as working somewhere I use to work for my uncle who owned "sprint lube". I really enjoyed working there just not the pay.

hmmm....debating weather I want to wrap up all my time this weekend on doing a heater core replacment on my wife's 2000 mercury sable.I'm half-way tempted to pay someone else do to it b/c it's a pain in the asss.......would you agree?

i've got an 87 golf gti with the 1.8 16 val 4 cylinder?I've heard mixed things about working on them.Pricey and easy to work on.But with it being this old I assume you could get the parts for cheap from junk yards or what not.Is this engine hard to work on?I'm obviously a newbie trying to learn cars so this is my first attempt to fix a car
