6 Speed S4

Welcome, nice car but those tail lights are fail!

So far for me I've done 1) o2 sensors 2) rear wheel bearings 3) front control arm kit, sway bar links 4) one axle 5) EGTs are next, thats it. No issues with anything else and I'm at 143k miles original turbos are strong as can be.

hahaha. Yep they may be cheap to buy, but maintenance is no joke on these things. Mine has been super reliable. This is also my 3rd B5 S4 and 4th B5 chasis car. The new Coupe Quattro looks sick so far. 5 cyl. turbo is FTW. I will buy one a few years down the road if they are decently priced.

This one guy purposely hit my car with his cig because I got too close to him or something so I ended dropping a few pennies out my sunroof and taking off

Fl would be nice. Too hot in the summer though.

Ive had my inspection done out of state before.

You also have to get an out of state inspection form for the BMV to go over. Its simple but kind of a hassle if youre out of state trying to register under ohio tags. I had to when I lived in Phoenix.

Ouch I remember when I was a Saab tech I was popping a piece out from a window regulator with a pick and stabbed one of my tendons in my hand. Couldn't move it for a while. Hope it gets better quick.

Well i got them. took my big ass torque wrench with 3 extensions and a wiggle extension. Got em all with it.

k I'll try that. I dont have a torch so thats my last resort.

So I did my entire control arm kit, sway bar links, and lowered the S4 all day yesterday. Went to drive the car and got about a block away when I went to turn around because I heard a rubbing noise like a brake backing plate. I threw the car in reverse and wont move, same with any other gear. Got the car pushed back into the garage and found the drivers axle separated at the inner cv joint at the transmission. I read up on the tor-sen diff. and if one axle isn't working they all don't work. So any ways I've been attempting to get this half shaft out for 2 hours with no luck, the 6 triple square bolts are in so damn tight. I tried my snap on electric impact, a breaker bar but there's not enough leverage. So if anyone is willing to help or has any idea let me know. I'll buy you beer or food whatever you'd like. Since its my daily driver I want to have it back together by tomorrow for work. 614-578-7296
