  1. People would wear a big dick on the car and shirt, if they paid them enough.
  2. When finding my fun track car, I paid more not to have a sun roof/ power windows/locks and mirrors and drove 800 miles to bring it back!
  3. This is so funny to me,I love mr2's always have but I still can not get this mental picture out of my head about the car. Back a few years ago I came home and my moms friend from work came over, at the time I had no idea if it was male or female, all I seen was a red mr2 spyder in our driveway. from just looks it had small suspension stuff done, some different wheels whatever. I walk up to the car and notice all this hello kitty stuff, like the nardi wheels with hello kitty button, hello kitty e brake cover, hello all over the inside of this car. The car was flawless clean just with stuffed hello kitty things all in the back ect. As I walk in, I already had a mental picture of some hot japanese girl ! Nope I ended up meeting prolly the most girly girl japanese man ive ever met that was super big into autocross/togue/road racing. Either way every time I see one I think of that guy.
  4. I forgot to ask this, did you really put that PVC pipe there so you could add an aftermarket bov for noise? But im being serious, would you rather have a cheap tubliar manifold then to just run a stock manifold then have all your maintence done? Do you really think someone who put together that Upper radiator hose, and sweet Homedept hard pipe, is really capable of spending quality parts and putting a motor together? Either way you can do what you want, its your car people are just trying to tell you something from experence maybe? I know you want to have a fast car at 18 and SHOW ME YOUR BOOST, but sometimes you have to spend money on parts you really do not want to buy! Hopfully you get everything squared away and we do not see a post of you deciding not change your oil to buy this sweet jdm blinky guage. Good luck.
  5. Thats what I say, my job is not going any place!
  6. No offense at all but this is right on point to why DSM guys get bad names!
  7. On that web site they sell a complete harness ready for the EFI ls1 comp for the LT1 for 850$ that is crazy, I did a search on the swap for the Lt1 cars and its a simple and deping some connectors and swapping 16 wires. All you need is a factory manual that you can get online free. That spending 1200 for a stock oem igntion style is for someone who has tons of money to throw away, and does not want to learn how to work on there own car.
  8. Includes two aluminum CNC coil brackets, 8 LS2 ignition coils (GM# 12573190), coil harnesses, and attaching hardware. Fits Small-Block Chevy and LT1/LT4 with center bolt valve covers Yup this is what I did just bought used parts off a wrecked car, all the parts they sell are high as shit because they sell it as a kit and R&D went into putting together and name . All that same exact stuff can be had for less on craigslist, you can buy all the connectors and wire and any hardware store. Like I said I did everything for 175$ just because they just came out with it not long ago does not mean guys have not been doing it, because this is nothing new. With this coil set up you can get very creative with mounting and tucking all of it away.
  9. hmm thats strange I just did my rb motor to a ls2 ign for 175$ its the same exact
  10. If thats scaring you away from a motor then, a turbo would not be the route, You know how easy and cheap it is to upgrade ignition on most cars?
  11. Wow lol What did they say? that screamo shit does not take much talent.
  12. Read the stickies about making a noob post.
  13. In the one picture bet he had a hard time getting up.
  14. Geees this horrible if you close your eyes he sounds like the arab guy from teh simpsons.
  15. Great looking car, one of the best body that ford has made. Will make someone a nice driver. I do not mean to clutter your threat but with that 38mm wastegate did you ever have any issue with boost creep? thats a big turbo and small Wg, I figured someone will ask about that anyways.
  16. Geeez for that type of money you could swap in a low mile lsx, and do basic mods and make the same amount of power and be OEM reliable. And end up saving a few grand while your at it.
  17. If hes looking for just mild set and reliable why would he do a carbed small block and go back into time?
  18. Very correct, so you think a male's cooking show does better then female? Im just kidding but have you seen all the male cooking shows on the food channel?
  19. No not my RB this was years ago, I was running a solid lifter/ solid cam fully build machined head, sleved, alum rod,sr20 I could of rev'ed higher then 9500 that was my peak power for the turbo. The head /rotating mass was good for 10k+. You can buy off shelf heads for 11k rpm for drag racing now in the states for decent prices. And yes you could easly build a Rb that rev's 9500, its very common for guys who run soilid lifter/cam/ and high vol oil pump and collar's to rev 10k, my car will not be able to this spring but maybe later I have a baby turbo.
  20. I really think drifting could go far if it wasnt for the steriotypes that go with the common people and cars that are used. A lot of the drivers come from great racing backgrounds and are well respected within the car community. And you're right about the whole drifting is not racing, Events "judged" did not even get big in japan till the early 90's till promoters wanted to sen it all over the world. If anyone lived in california when it first hit on the west coast around 1997 it was more of weekend type thing done in hills then blew up in 1999. If it comes and goes like a trend there will still be the hardcore group of drifters that are in the mountain roads driving like how it started. Personally if there was not so much to lose in the sates with police there would be a huge non track drifting crowd. Here everything has to be done on the "track" or you go to jail. lol
  21. Yeah no shit, almost a 7 figure job for driving a car, hate all you want.........unless you're doing things big ,have no room to talk. Its about as boring as an ohio drift event where people just go because they want someone to wreck and get hurt! 20 % watch because they might really enjoy the sport the other 40 perfect are bandwagon kids with hacked up pos cars, the other 40 are just watching to see you get hurt and or making fun of what you do. grassroots or pro I enjoy watching all types of motorsports, I have never been to an event with so many negative people praying for people to wreck.
  22. well the engine was shifting at 9500 rpm they told me I would run into this issue with the weak tranny.
  23. Well since it was a personal sale, I had no proof I even bought the stuff from the guy in the first place, I needed a lawyer and police to get all my text and phone logs ect, we pretty much had to prove it. Personally I could be blind folded and tell you a turbo is bad or used. I bet the guy took the C clip out and bead blasted and painted all the parts to look new, and used the old CHRA.
