  1. Sagar,

Jeff forwarded your question about scheduling a baseline mid-late March. That will be fine. You only need to give me a couple days notice for that.

And you can either call the shop or email me directly at eric.h@ipsmotorsports.net

    Regards,

  2. Rob,I understand exactly what you are saying. I'm not going to argue with you any longer. It's pointless. And I have better things to do. At this point we should be focused on the reason for this thread. Jason's lack of spark. So Jason,is their any update on finding the root of the problem?
  3. A lab/oscilliscope is the preferred tool to test wave forms and amplitude. But for a simple test of ecu and igniter outputs,a circuit tester like the Waekon SST will work fine as well. http://www.waekon.com/PS/sst42v/sst42vintro.html
  4. Do you have the right test equipment to check the ignition output driver form the ecu? If so,check that. Then check the igniter output to the coils. P.S. If the ecu, crank or cam angle sensors aren't working in harmony you may not have pulse to the injectors either. Use a noid light to test the injector outputs. Could be as simply as a EFI main relay. And even if one of the angle sensors is bad it should still fire the coils. But the car will be in limp mode
  5. It's a DynaPac. It's actually pretty nice for part throttle tuning. Especially with a system that is realtime. WOT is somewhat iffy from my experience. Not very repeatable. And I have used more than 1 DynaPac. Nailed it! If you know you might be slamming another shop or tuner, don't post it. Do you see Buschur,Dallas Performance,AMS or any other shop that has pride in their reputation do this? Nailed it again. When you build/tune a car from scratch that you think is exceptional, then a post is warranted.
  6. I think some clarifaction is in order. Thorne- What parts did this car have when you tuned it? Corey- Same question for you. Also, what did you fix mechanically? Obviously it had some issue/issues. Bad BCS?boost leaks? What? Did you guys add any parts? From what I'm reading, the car had alot of new parts put on it after Thorne tuned it. Being an experienced tuner,I can tell you that adding parts to a nearly stock Subaru without getting it retuned is a no-no. Cat-back is ok. Panel filter is ok. Anything else and you had better call a tuner. I have seen Subaru's that run deathly lean. And are pulling -5 deg. of learned timing even after the IAM had dropped to a point where it started using the Primary Failsafe fuel/ignitioin maps. All from simply changing the intake. Kind of screwed up. But it happens.
  7. ROFL! No. But that is a very interesting topic of discussion. Lol. I've been a member for some years now, quietly observing.
  8. Shawn, I don't know about over qualified. Lol. Things have been well. Though some things have changed. Nate is doing well.
  9. I might just have to do that. Have a Buell XB12S that just got finished tuning. You going offer any extended run sessions later in the day? Like to finish dialing it in on the Dino. Lol.
  10. This will be my first EVER real post on CR. Lol. Most of you don't know me by name, who I am. or what I'm about. But most will in the near future. And it will be nice to meet all you guys (and gals). So don't start flaming me till you know me. Lol Hi Shawn. This is Eric H. I have used your dyno in the past. The post above is one about a car a that I'm very familiar with . Ask Horman if you want a close reference. To all, I wish good luck on your builds. And fast times at the track. I know I'm posting my intro in the wrong place BTW. Haha.
  11. Time Attack is sweet. All those cars that can't really be classified get a change to really shoot for something. NASA TT is cool but there are no over the top cars. Time attack is what alot of Japanese tuners do to prove there cars and products. Europeans base there tuning by how fast they lap at Nurburgring. Same concepts. So certainly count me and tons of my friends in.
