  1. Well I got the car going again, ended up going with Crucial Performance in conjunction with a guy named Mike Turner, dropped it off and it was ready 2 weeks later new tune and all. I am very pleased with the results, it honestly drives like a different car, made me realize how screwed up it was before. Basically the issue was whoever did the original trans tune had no idea what they were doing which caused the torque converter to be damaged and sent a bunch of shit through the trans and wrecked the whole thing. So lesson learned on that but I would highly recommend Crucial great customer service and a fair price, plus the tune is spot on the car drives amazing!
  2. Thought about a 4l80 or even a turbo 400 swap but it's my daily so i just want stock replacement, plus trying to retain as many mpgs as i can lol, seems like no one really offers a "bulletproof" upgrage for these units lots of the high hp guys either just run em stock or swap to the above
  3. I recently bought an 09 G8 GT and after 3000 glorious miles the transmission took a crap, long story short I've done a ton of research and it needs rebuilt or replaced of course. Wanting to know if anyone has recommendations for a local shop or previous experience with any. I am leaning towards a shop called Metro Transmission in Gahanna they have good yelp reviews and seem honest and knowledgeable on the phone, any one used them or know anything good or bad, thanks for any help in advance.
  4. I have the oem 18s from my G8 I would be willing to let go for $300
  5. Wow that guy has bigger balls than I, love when he has to block the sun with his hand, like Im just driving up a mountain with no gaurd rails in a xxxhp car full throttle but one hand on the wheel is good I got this, I would have probably opted for sunglasses
  6. No one said that every tire that is 6 or 10 or whatever years old is bad and going to explode. I work at a tire shop and our policy is, 10 years old, we cant service it, it is a safety policy, and yes I have seen a 6 month old tire that looks 20, and a few 15 year old or more that look brand new. That being said its a law of averages there is a much greater chance that a 10+ year old tire will fail spectacularly than a 2 year old tire. I personally agree with not servicing old tires, if for no other reason than its not worth my fingers or arm or worse, to air up your old dangerous tire. Is someone else values their limbs less than me than by all means have at it. I think its ridiculous that you would get mad at a company for trying to keep their employees safe, and honestly keep you safe.
  7. Thanks for the welcome every one and whats up Patrick, the green wheels are no longer on the car either, im rockin black on black but have no recent pictures. As for mods, right now I have basic bolt ons, intake, header, exhaust, lowered on koni's and eibach springs, and half gutted because i have a leaky window seal and was getting water in the car lol.
  8. Wow just realized my old Accord is the car I have listed I'll go ahead and change that. OK here is the only picture I could find. http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx188/krc91987/n1022750923_168202_1902.jpg
  9. Hi my name is Kevin, I signed up for this site like 3 years ago, but apparently, I either never introduced myself or its been so long i have to do it again, either way, hi. I drive a black civic coupe, which I am about to put a b18 ls into, to rebuild my current motor (rings are junk). I just signed up for the drag day on Friday, thats why I got on here, figured I would see whats new, and then realized I can't go anywhere lol. So I will see some of you Friday, it should be fun, and I will try to get some pictures up soon but my computer is working on crashing again.
