The internet has killed the car scene. Most people would rather sit at their computer, take pictures of their car or new parts to post, find a new avatar, make a new signature. post their dyno plot/time slip and brag about their mods instead of actually going out to do that. Three winters ago I could go out to any place where I knew people would be get some digs and rolls on the way there and digs when I got there. It does not happen anymore. I can understand not wanting to get into legal trouble, but that has never stopped anyone before.

I thought it was a pretty good video. That would not have been my choice of music, but everything that was important was how it should be.

I love the Hitman series of games. When I first started playing the games I would just go through and wipe everyone out. When I got bored of that I actually started to learn how to achieve silent assasin and the games got that much better. I went back and beat all of them that way. I liked Hitman:Silent Assasin, but Hitman:Contracts was the best for me.

You can buy one if you went to any gun show.

I saw this posted on another forum where the poster said it was the guy who started yellow book or yellow pages. I cannot remember which. -
Remember that badass yellow camaro Ant posted? (VID)

I think that it migh depend on how you are introducing nitrous.

Twin turbo 403 Z06 - Progress Pics. Discuss.
Christian replied to Dr. Pomade's topic in Passing Lane
That is damn impressive. I have read about subaru guys, since that is what I own, that are getting close to 800AWHP witht the garrett turbos and in particular the GT35R's. Then again that is with half the cylinders and half the turbos and a completely built and bored engine. I think that we will have a new 270 king. Are you going to change your gearing or is what you have suficient? Are you also looking into a bigger brake kit, it might be a good idea for safety, maybe down the road. -
Ok I'll finish. 6 Mouse in a wheel, the mouse pulled a hammie 5 1960 something VW Beatle, I can't believe I beat him to the Import House on High St 4 Razor Scooter, kid wore a hole in his shoe and got a blister so I won by default 3 Yugo, I went and he couldn't 2 Amish buggy, he only had one horse 1 H2 Hummer, he ran out of gas

I agree, you cannot have a V8 sleeper due to how loud they are even when you first start to build one. If you can't hear it before you see it, then you have not spent enough money. Your friends father has a very nice car. I cannot believe how few miles are on it.
-
I guess that making your car faster is a bad thing. Have you ever pulled an engine? I am peculating that you have not. Since when does hanging out in the garage wrenching on your car make you trash?
-
You are not entirely correct. You cannot do an all around stock to stock comparison because of the large gap in years of production, let alone competitively compare a large displacement V8 with relatively soft suspension to a turbo 4 cylinder with stiff as hell stock suspension. Doing a comparison of Nitrousbirds car and the STI owner from the beginning of the thread is also an unfair comparison since they are both setup for doing two totaly different things. You are an idiot for insinuating a comparison between a formula bird that has seen more drag time than road course or autox time and a STI that for all we know is setup for nothing but autox.
-
I have a question for you. Regardless of your dislike for how the STi looks and sounds, since you are pretty persistant in pointing out these things like clockwork, what do you think of its performance?

I really care less what he thinks, he is allowed to think whatever he wants. If anyone on here took offense to the honkey remarks I truely feel sorry for them taking to heart what is posted on a forum called "The Kitchen". Not that I have to defend myself, but I was sincere when I said that I hope he gets his car back up and running. I am sure that there are more than a few people on here who know what it is like having a car they worked hard for and not being able to use it especially when they know it is going to be better than what it was.

So you are saying that this guy buying what he wanted was a bad investment. That is probably the best argument that I have ever heard. I guess that it is also a better investment to keep and maintain a car from 1994. I did not say build because we all know how cheap it is to start building one of those cars up, I am pretty sure that Walmart has a sections for you guys now right next to the moble home double sided tape. Maybe if you sold all of the cars in front of your double wide you could afford a newer more trashy vehicle to certify how whiskey tango you are. I heard it is supposed to be really nice this weekend, and if your car ran you could take off the t-tops, let the mullet flow and show everyone how an inbreed honkey rolls. Just joking, but if you do have a mullet don't cut it. Good luck getting that car back together and running again, those muffler bearings are a bitch.

Oh thats right, I am a little rusty on some of my racing history, but I do remember reading something about the World Cup GT and Trans Am.

To sell or not to sell the Moostang, and what to replace it with
Christian replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Passing Lane
How many cars do you really need? Getting rid of the Jimmy and the Moostang will definitely save you on car insurence and maintenance costs. With that extra money you can buy more go fast goodies for the ol' bird. You already have your fun weekend/track/meet car, so you can use the Avalanche for anything else that you need. If I were you I would try to keep just those two and not even think about getting another fun car. If I were to stick with your given options I would keep the Moostang, but it is really hard to pass up cash when given the chance. Just make sure you get the Jimmy back together and sell it. There is nothing worse than a vehicle you cannot use. -
You are correct about Ohio weather causing problems for any car. It could happen to just about anyone, especially if you do not have a garage. Do you not understand that this comes from the factory? Are you really that dense? Do you not also know the difference between a WRX and a WRX STi? Google is your friend my dumbass compatriot. WRC does not require the greatest engineering with aerodynamics, look at them most of them if not all of them are not perfectly streamline, since real racing requires more than just straigh line speed; the race winner is dictated by the best driver that is able to master the course and race conditions. How many times have you seen a drag race or NASCAR race cancelled by precipitation. I garuntee that it is an infinitely larger amount of times than a WRC race. Other than downforce on the rear wheels the wing balances the car as it is jumping and flying through the air to keep the front end from hitting the ground first. It makes the car land more evenly and less likely to cause a reck or accident. Don't be stupid and take this to mean that everyone that has a STi is looking for hills to jump off of to see if it really works that way. The WRX STi has been designed as a street legal version of the WRC car and has brought over aspects from that car to be incorporated and most enthuseists can appreciate that, this is where you bring in the "ricer" wing, hood scoop, pink stickers, etc. Oh and just so you know they are cherry blossum red, I put that there so you can make fun of me. There are a lot of things that have been brought over from racing that we use today and that goes for any car, which is mostly safety and suspension stuff; and not from drag racing or NASCAR, NASCAR is drag racing just for a longer period of time. Real racing like WRC, indy, cart and LeMans; something that requires more than two straights and a couple left turns. When is the last time you saw a firefly, I mean a firebird do a race other than drag racing or IROC? I cannot remember. IROC=NASCAR The STi has been designed as a purely functional vehicle, I agree not necessarily the most astheticaly pleasing car out there, but I have one and it is definitely not for those reasons. The hood scoop guides air into the intercooler and the wing provides significant downforce to the rear wheels. This is more than you can say for the current GTO, don't get me wrong I like the new GTO's. The GTO has non-funtional air scoops and a non-functional rear spoiler. So technically it is rice from the factory. How about that GM factory rice, kind of sounds like an oxymoron. I wish it wasn't true.

I was thinking the exact same thing about treason. That has to be breaking some kind of law. That flag is the only reason why they are allowed to be here. The American flag represents freedom from oppression and by flying it upside down and below the Mexican flag they are thanks but fuck you. I guess it could only happen in California and nothing be done about it.

You have hip flexors and extensors. The flexors are in the front and the extensors are on the back right below your butt cheaks. If they are getting tight you can stretch them by kneeling (sp?) on the floor with your right knee on the floor first and your left foot in front of you on the floor making your shin perpindicular with the floor surface. Your upper body should also be straight up and perpindicular. Now lean foward and you should feel stretching in your hip flexor area. Switch legs when you feel you have done a good enough job. With respect to your workouts you need variation and rest. Especially with your abs and lower back since you use those muscles the most throughout the day. Your weight will vary from day to day depending on amount and how much food and water that you consume. Don't be discouraged by 4-5 pounds, just keep plugging away at the workouts. When you see more and more veins that is a good indicator of progress that you are making and also of your body composition with respect to less and less fat that you have. Good luck and don't stop, just make sure that you rest enough and eat properly.

This is funny. I am not offended. I just thought that I would take my first shot in the kitchen where as it says if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. Isn't this the place to rip people for fun? I don't take any of what you said seriously because it really makes no difference to me what or how you think. In the end you and your car really mean nothing; I could really care less. I do agree that there have been a few WRX's and STI's that have less than pleasing sound exhaust note. The ones that I don't like have a raspy sound to them, but the raspy ones that I have heard have made some pretty good AWHP numbers, but they have more than basic performance upgrades. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a nice sound for performance. Thank God mine does not sound like that, but someday it might have to. As far as comparing a V8 sound to a H4 sound, there is no comparison and your a dumbass if you do because they are two completely different engines all together; and it has a lot to do with personal preference. As far as 4 cylinder the subaru boxer engine has the best out there in my mind. With V8 I tend to like how Ferrari's sound, but I don't see those everyday. For me a domestic V8 that I admire are GM V8s, no other V8 comes to mind that sounds better. Your still an idiot.
