    Tansky sucks!!!

It is my baby.... I have taken it to other places before and they look at me like martian or something. What are the best shops in columbus.... I live in Mt. Vernon, most people have never even seen a car like mine before... let alone worked on one

    Tansky sucks!!!

I am so mad at these guys you would not believe Last year I take my supra into them for a front main seal. They call me and say the the rear main is bad too. No problem, lets put a clutch in too while we are at it, even though mine was fine at the time. So about $2400 later including the new RPS clutch (~$700) I take my car home...I still have the oil leak plus now it is worse. I take it back to them, and they say "oh, must be the pan leaking" that will be another $1500 to pull the engine and fix the pan gasket. So i spent 1700 for labor to fix an oil leak that I still have. This week I took the car back in for what I thought was a front main leak. Turns out to be camshaft seals... They say $800 to fix it. I thought it was high, so I called another toyota dealer they said $500. Tasky is a rip off :bs:
  3. I dont think I will be able to make this frday at pacemakers my car is down. I blew my camshaft seals

  5. I asked my dad about this subject before I posted, he has a machine shop. He said they can be turned . mst of the time they are turned with a carbide tool. If the shop is trying to take to large of a pass it make break the carbide insert. you will have to call around to find a place.... It takes time to turn them
  6. yes you can... inspect them well to make sure there is no stress fractures around the holes. Check your thickness to make sure that you dont go to thin.
  7. My car wont be done this week I woud guess. Maybe plan on a couple of weeks from now. If your are interested let me know

  9. I was thinking... since there seem to be some decent guys up here in Mt.V, we should do a meet and greet on a friday night, then go to the track. We could use my office parking lot so the local police cant kick us out. Let me know if anyone is interested.
  10. Remember oil is cheap stern drives are expensive!!
  11. I always ask for the old parts back to see if they did the work. My wife had a buick in the 90's the thermstat went out, it was very cold out so we took it to the buick dealer on Hamilton rd. They called and said the fan motor was bad, 200 to fix. I told them that is fine but I want the old one back. I picked upt the car the next day and took the old fan motor and put 12v to it. The motor purred like a kitten. I go back to the dealer tell them that I want my money back for the fan. They argue with me about it being bad. I tell them to get the mechanic, and put 12v to it. They get a battery and what do you know...it works. Then the mechanic shorts it out and smokes the motor. I got my money back :nutkick:
  12. I like the powder room.... Newalbany is too expensive, but it is a newer range.

  14. What a trip that was.... Started out to STL about 9:30 PM thursday. After drive to Illinois I noticed a peice of rubber come off of the trailer tires so I pull over at the next exit and sure enought I have to change the tire 30 minutes later I am on the road. I get to STL anut 9:00 am set up camp in Granite City IL...uload the car and went out to the Chiropractic college I went to. I had a great time going out there. I got to meet some poeple I have not seen on a while. Anyhow, now to the meat of the story. After returning to Granite City, I was driving down Rt.3 and I blow my front main seal. Oil all over the car, on the ground, smoke... So I packed up on saturday and came home. 16 hours driving no racing due to a front main seal
  15. I am biased, a Supra is the way to go... upside:builit proof bottom end...easy to get big hp numbers with...rare... downside: you need deep pockets for upgrades, when small stuff breaks it cost alot, very hard to find
