  5. gave him a call on that number and he answered.Charles said Tim does the scheduling and it is $65. he has to check when the next one is as they just had one this last Sunday so I will update more when I know for sure
  6. Powder room says they offer them one sunday a month. Next one is the 24th. Tt's from 8am to 8pm and it is a set price of $150 a person. no group rate or anything... Anyone got info on any other places mentioned?? I tried calling scott and tim no answer from either one though

  8. Anyone want or need to get another group of us together to go take the ccw class?? I was talking with my dad and he said the powder room offers them for a one day class.   10. the maf does go bad on these motors but when it goes bad it will run rough as all hell and it wont sift unless you rev it up and let off... then also it will tend to shift a lot back and forth between all forward gears. and tends to cause the car to stall out very often... ask me how I know... Took me twenty minutes to drive four miles to the store to get the new maf for mine... I got halfway and almost walked home to get my bike and ride there lol I would say swap it with a known good maf first before you go spend 100 bucks or more on one
  11. That was my thought but he did not mention having a low cat efficiency code at all just a o2.. and it sounds like he replaced the o2 before the cat not after correct??
  12. sounds like you could have a wiring issue or do you ahve any exhaust mods??/ Could be causeing it to read bad and then the engine tries to fix the faulse reading??
  13. the same guy who built the civette built a ls1 wrx and blew up the rear diff in like a weeks time and never saw any more vidoes of it...

    I say sbc... its musch cheaper and easier to find parts.. Also dont have to deal with the wiring issues etc on one. also if money is not really a factor for you why does it matter pick the motor you want best.. If you are spending 20k plus out of pocket is it really worth 2-3k here and there on different motors etc... It sounds like you really want a 2jz so I say do it. Its what you know and what you like why would you want something different just because others say dont do it..

  21. ya not hard. just take the holding rongs off each end. nock it out of the yoke. put new bearing in there and put the new rings on. It will only give you a problem if you knock the end cap off and loose any needle bearings inside of the joint or if it is rusted up and wont come free from the yoke.. but its pretty easy
  22. its not hard... remove the ring. grab a socket and a hammer and you can nock them out... then slide the new one in and out the ring on it... about a 10 min job... Just dont loose any needle bearings.. Im sure there is a youtube video that will show you how to do it if you need a visual
