Got my old work beater I don't need anymore. 1998 Hyundai Accent. Auto with 148k miles. Gets 30 MPG! Trans was replaced at 134k with a 60k mile unit. Has cold A/C, new struts, strut mounts, tie rods, ball joints, fuel filter all within the last 5k miles. Newer tires. Runs good but don't expect to get anywhere fast. Good reliable car to get from A to B. Drove it the other day for the first time in 3 months and fired right up. Looking for $1,200 o.b.o really wanting cash but open to trades too. Did you get an insurance check or is the insurance company paying them directly? If insurance is paying them directly, call and have them withhold payment and explain why. Call the company back and tell them they won't get the rest till its fixed right.

Yea, that sounds about right. Typical situation when I'm around is he'll pick me up then we'll run into the gas station down the street and when we come out, it doesn't want to start.

Posting for a buddy at work. he has a 98 ford taurus with just under 200k miles. increasingly more frequent and lasting longer, when he goes to start the car it just cranks and cranks without firing up. whenever we ride to work together and it decides to do it, by the the time i decide to get out and start checkin for the basics of spark and fuel, it fires up. It isnt throwing any codes and was wondering how you could trace this down when you cant consistently get it to do it. its his primary vehicle and he has a baby, so I hate to tell him to drive it till it goes and then try to diagnose it but I dont know what to do in this case.

Why was I not made aware

Correct me if I'm wrong, most of the info I have heard has been second hand. Most schools today are locked door right? I heard that was the case with this school and the guy just shot through the glass and entered. I understand the issue of ending up with Paul blart, but why are outer doors not locked and "bullet proof" with some kind of security guard sitting there monitoring people who come in and out. Verifying people by state issued ID's and then verifying they are an approved party to be there before even allowing that door to be opened. And that's for children's schools. I also don't understand the whole prohibiting CCW carriers to carry on school grounds. Faculty at the very least should have that option through grade schools. College campuses should be like going anywhere else in public with your CCW.
