  2. My car has been parked since the track day. I bought a rps twin disc clutch to go in but i dont really want to do it in my garage without electric, heat, or lights. Might just wait til spring to put it in.

What did don at AP do for your diff? Also where did you get those poly bushings? I put a trd lsd in last summer and i would have put those in along with it if i knew of them.

Your car is looking good and coming together real quick. Hopefully i can get mine back on the road by spring to join you at some meets.

I've been doing the spacer shuffle for a month now. They're NA brakes, I couldn't afford the Strange setup nor did I really want it since I'll be putting quite a few street miles on it.

    How's your car doing?

The only changes it may receive are a Paisley lip and I might pick up another hatch to have the option of going wingless.

  3. 19.55@56mph... lol

I had the black supra. It was my first pass of the day and my first pass in the car. Came out of the hole spinning my qtp's for a 1.87 60'. Tried shifting to second and she wasn't having it so I rolled my way to the return lane. Feels like I broke the pressure plate on my clutch. The pedal would only come up half way until I got back to the pits. Now it has good pressure and full range of travel but grinds badly while trying to engage in any gear. I should have some time tomorrow to get underneath and check it out.

I'd like to thank Anthony for letting me borrow his jacket for the day although I think a 19 sec pass is well out of the range for having to have it.

I'd also like to thank Alex L. for helping me set up my 2-step in the pits and for fabbing up a few things for me during the week. His work is clean and he went above and beyond for me on the customer service side.

  4. I want a block off plate fabbed up to cover the access port to my fuel tank. It needs to be a "top hat" design and have a grommet to accomodate the wiring harness. By "top hat" I mean it needs a flanged base to seal at bolt to 4 existing studs and it needs to be raised from the base about 1-1.5" to clear the wiring. I could do this myself if I had access to the tools but I don't so I'm wondering if someone wants to make a quick buck.

Id like to have it done by next friday if possible too. Let me know if you can help out.

  5. Anyone have an SFI Jacket I could borrow during the track day? I have no idea what my car will run but it does have an aftermarket turbo charger and Id hate not to be able to run because I don't have it.

I have a helmet, roll bar, driveshaft loop, just don't have a jacket and I don't plan to drag race enough to justify buying one. Let me know if you wouldn't mind helping me out.

  6. Im looking for someone who would be able to cover my door panels in a vinyl material. When I bought my car it came with carbon fiber door panels that aren't my taste and rattle like crazy. I bought some 4 way stretch vinyl to cover the panels but I haven't had much luck working with it. Stock panels are going for 300-400 a piece so if I can just get my current panels covered I'd be happy for now. Does anyone know where I could get this done at?
  7. Im trying to figure out what type of vehicle to get for a winter beater/ daily driver. The things that Im looking for (in order of importance) are:

    4WD/AWD obviously

    Hatch/wagon/bed (large cargo space)

    Reliability

    Manual Transmission

    Snowy rural road/dirt road capability

    25 mpg

    Fun to drive aspect

Looking to spend $8K or less

I want a large cargo area to fit stuff. Most trunks don't have the clearance I need. Id like to get something that is fun to drive but reliability is more important. The ability to tow a small trailer or even my supra would be nice.

Im looking into 02-04 wrx wagons but Ive never driven a subie and not sold on their reliability and snow performance. For around the same price I can get a Ford Ranger but being in the used car business Ive seen alot of trashed/problematic rangers. I also have been looking at Jeep Cherokee's (NOT GRAND CHEROKEEs) but almost all are automatics and pricy for the given year.

What would you guys suggest for me given my wants and needs?
