  3. The funny part is its NOT a hyundai.... It might wear the badge but that's about it. The rear end is solid... There a car over seas sporting 700 hp, stock rear end and a stock tranny.

  6. Car is going to a local shop for the week, what do i do? Have them fix the issue at hand? Which is two studs broke off in the housing.Then put on parts i have laying around. or New manifold and turbo?

  8. I have tried several different penetrating fluids. Rich, thank you I pm'd you back. Now, say I can't get it out what would a shop charge to get two studs out?
  9. So long story short. I officially hate this thing. Pulling off my o2 housing and factory downpipe everything is going good untill the nuts strip on my studs to the turbo. Well we get the nuts off and now the studs will not come out. We have heated it up,blah blah blah. Still nothing is budging. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm close to just trailering. my car somewhere and have it fixed. Thanks, Steven

  11. ya the pa buy in is outrageous. I have talked to several vendors who also say the same thing. Not a problem thorn, just trying to figure out my optiions asap. limitations on the factory block are n/a. Most of the issue is with the rods, so turbo lag in this instance is a good thing. This car builds so much tq down low its insane. I would say around 380-400 would be as much as i would put on the factory rods. The block is good to 500-600... it is not a closed deck like the evo X.
  12. I have pm'd him. He said he would get back to me. I pm'd him a second time and nothing. I am really debating an ls1 swap...or getting an evo x block and a buscher stage 2 head.
  13. I was trying to but I was going to take a hit. There are a few shops that specialize in them, which the one has had great success. That's the shop I'm trying to get ahold of.
  14. I have heard between 380 to 400 now they had head work done. Parts are expensive, the car is expensive, that is why you don't see many 3.8.
  15. Currently the only fi available is a 8k dollar rotrex kit. Which doesn't include tunning. There are intakes, intake manifolds, cams, header back exhaust and flash software. I am assuming n/a the limit is 400 rwhp.
  16. I love the car, I'm not looking to make anymore than 400rwhp. Which with my current set up and parts that I have coming is very easily attainable. The car handles well,looks good and is quick for what it is plus its different. I have no issue with taking the hard route to be different. I have found alternatives to expensive kits. I have been in contact with several shops around the us. I'm just not at this time willing to ship my car accross the states to get it tuned.
  17. A lot of people are just scrapping their products. Most shops that build high hp cars are getting away from it. The engine is a terrible platform to make power. Up untill now there has been shitty tunning options. Love fab has completely scrapped their performance line. No-one is willing to pay 8k dollars for a turbo set up that produces 380whp I assume buscher is in the same predicament.
  18. I have called them, in fact since you bring it up. The guy who I talked to was very rude. He said they were no longer doing anything with the genesis coupe. I even inquired about getting it built back when I was making bank. I asked if they would completely build it and when they could get me in. The shut me down, who turns down several thousands of dollars?
