In Hoke's defense on his overall record, he took Ball State and made them MAC contenders and to bowl games. They were bad before he got there, not Eastern Michigan bad, but pretty bad. I know, I went to school there. As far as not being on the radar, he was on the radar (not very high) when they hired Rich Rod, and was higher on the radar when they hired him. Agreed not they're first choice but I don't think Michigan will get their first choice anymore. Hoke is still getting fired this year. There's a chance Hoke could end up back at Ball State if/when current coach Pete Lembo leaves.

+1 Place is called Angie's. My family takes everything to her, she's cheap, fast and sometimes funny.

Obviously he does not teach the secondary how to tackle. Great footwork breakdown when the kid gets close, wrap up and take down.

LOL. BYU did not look impressive Friday. I think BYU is getting more credit for beating Texas and then Texas almost beating UCLA.
-
Glad I'm not the only one that caught that.

That only works if you believe those kids would use the scholarship for education and get a degree in something useful. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=ncf&id=6932700 http://blacksportsonline.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/cardale.jpg

Unlike any other sanction to a program, every player had the opportunity to leave or never sign. Sanctions are for programs, suspensions are for players. I don't feel bad for the players, they made their choice. USC effectively got the same ban for a player receiving some money and his parents a house to live in. Is that the same as a systematic cover up of 45 known counts of child molestation? NCAA must think so.

I had Rice in my league with the same idea.

I miss the Forrest Park Parade. Went to the Westerville parade this year and people just walked up last minute and stood in the street in front of everyone that got there early. Just rude. I grew up in Forrest Park, still frequent Gabby's (my in-laws are regulars) and have/had friends live in the area of this house in question. Where the houses are is nice area, but the out lying areas are bad and I would never send my kids to Columbus City Schools. I'm ok with paying higher property taxes just for that reason. Also take into account that CR thinks Blendon Township is a shit hole and I've found it to be a nice area. Westerville Rd excluded.

Planning on moving out in 5-7 years can be a "trap" for lack of a better term. It happened to my parents and a lot of other families I know. They have a nice house, They've made improvements and they get comfy. Time slips by and that 5-7 year plan becomes 10-15 or more. I'm not saying you can't stick to a plan, but sometimes things come up and plans get put on hold. Just another wrinkle to think about. As far as the neighborhood, cybe made a great description. It will never be an "up and coming" area but it can get slightly better over time at best.

So I did something stupid so I'm going to ask a stupid question.... On the top of the backside in the Assignment of ownership field I put my name down instead of the buyers. The BMV probably won't take a title with white out on it correct?

Love this idea. This is clearly not Obama's fault, must be Bush's http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/5d/5d1a8b845abd978cca140a1bf71b5524d1e7de442442537481bb22049d2a6d9e.jpg

Definitely the latter. Carolina shouldn't be ranked at all after that beat down but see below.... ESPN is getting terrible with their coverage of sports. They talked all about the SEC teams winning but nothing about Vandy being throttled by Temple. And with that beat beat down my playoff prediction is 25% garbage. I expected South Carolina to lose one, but lose close. They looked terrible last night. Anybody else watch the Rutgers-Washington St. game? That was a fun game to watch.
-
Rutgers has to beat someone right? Fun Fact: Army's coach beat Florida last year with Georgia Southern. You never know. Plus both my Grandfathers were in the Army so I always pick them to beat Navy. It would be awesome if Navy could have double digits in the W column. After realizing Reynolds was still the QB, I even think my 6-6 is going to be wrong but it's there so why change it now?
-
They play Nov. 8, all Big 12 opponents play each other. Oklahoma will have a loss or two going into the game, they might be favored but they won't win. Just my prediction. Navy is wearing white http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/navy/sports/m-footbl/auto_action/10253157.jpeg?1409229729

I think the West beats each other up this year and Bama goes into the CG w/ 2 losses, losing and being 10-3 when the playoff teams are picked. I do agree that if a 2nd loss is because of the CG game both SEC teams will be in the playoffs. I think Oregon loses to MSU & Stanford and Baylor only has 1 loss (I'm going with OK St). But who knows, it's the fun of the preseason right? Just like picking Final Four Brackets.
-
For some reason the thought Reynolds (QB for Navy) was a senior last year, not a sophomore. That should be good for an extra 2 wins if he's healthy. They certainly have a schedule that can give them a lot of wins. I think they lose to: OSU Rutgers ND Army - this is probably wishful thinking Close games that could go either way: Air Force Temple San Jose State Georgia Southern - This will be a great game for those that love triple option and defense I believe in Baylor's offense more than Oklahoma's

Predictions: AAC - No good teams here, Cincinnati is my pick but whoever wins the conference has least 3 losses ACC - Florida St. v. Virginia Tech = FSU Blow out in Championship Game Big 12 - Baylor, Oklahoma is over rated, has 3 losses, maybe 4 Big Ten - MSU v. Iowa = MSU winners Conference USA - Western Ky v. La Tech = La Tech MAC - Toledo v. BG = BG wins a shoot out MWC - Fresno St. v. Boise St. = Fresno St. Pac 12 - Oregon vs. Arizona St = Oregon SEC - South Carolina v. Bama = South Carolina w/ 2 losses Sun Belt - Troy Playoff 1. FSU v. 4. MSU & 2. South Carolina v. 3. Baylor 1. FSU v. 3. Baylor = Famous Jamies steals the show, and some more crab legs Pac 12 gets left out because Oregon will have 2 losses just like South Carolina but SEC Independents: Army 4-8 BYU 7-5 Navy 6-6 Notre Dame 8-4 Randoms: Army finally beats Navy, Air Force wins the Commander-in-Chiefs trophy BG puts a scare into Wisconsin on Sept. 20 for a half, maybe 3 quarters Fresno St. Beats USC or Nebraska, or both

OSU 34 Navy 22 3 point lead or less either way at the half

Hopefully Barrett is better than Bauserman.... http://www.cbssports.com/images/collegefootball/bauserman_passing_chart.jpg Shouldn't be to hard O-line is my biggest worry. Offense may not be flashy this year but if the o-line can play good most of the time, and when it really counts the offense can be effective enough with Barrett and whoever the RB is. With a new "co" defensive coordinator/ db's coach & saying they will be more aggressive might help, open field tackling still might be an issue.
-
Edsel is a good coach but I think they'll regress from last year and find the Big Ten more of a challenge. Besides James Madison, I think they'll be favored against Indiana, Rutgers, maybe Cuse & USF but those I think those are more of a toss up. West Virginia is also iffy, they seem to be on the brink of implosion since Rich Rod left. 7 wins max, 6 maybe, 5 or less more likely. Plus in a league with 13 other schools, going 6-6 may not get you into a bowl game.
-
only in east coast viewership. I doubt either Rutgers or Maryland makes a bowl game this year.
