  1. Good God this is hideous Nate. I also saw a medium army green color Chrysler is putting out now. Talk about lifeless. A green has to be DARK like your Miata to work.

    no?

We all can't drive boring white cars :)

    It's really great in person.

That does remind me Ford had an awesome dark green on the Explorer and a really cool green on the fusion a couple years back.

  2. ^Sorry, that's just gross to me.

While we're on this color topic, I hate tan interiors. I also think black wheels are played out and unoriginal at this point. To me a polished or chrome wheel is what's timeless not some cheap looking black wheel.

+1000 on the tan interiors for most cars. I feel like only certain cars can pull it off and those are convertibles with leather.

Some black wheels are ok but the "murdered out" just isn't for me.

Interiors are another thing that has changed a lot. Most models have 2 choices, a darker and a lighter version. No more Reds, blues, greens and awesome 70's gold vinyl everywhere.

  3. Current Favorite on a new car:

Big fan of Orange too but it's hard to make it right.

Go Mango is a classic, Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler had some of the best

GM's Ontario Orange is beautiful in person

Mazda's Velocity Red Mica is one of the best reds ever...

Mazda's Marina Green Mica is awesome, but I'm a little bias on that too

Not a fan of white, would probably never own another yellow car. When buying used I'm not as picky about the color, if I'm buying new, I'm getting the color I want.

  4. Miata is already on the plate, since she now AutoXs having had a blast last year at a few events we are picking her up one to run this season herself. So the search begins for a decent NA/NB that can be an AutoX car and a fair weather top down machine.

Join Ohio Miata Owners facebook group. Good ones pop up from time to time but NA's seem to be getting tougher to find.

  5. I don't believe any of them share a history like ours where we fought for their country like we did. I also don't believe they included any type of 2A for their people.

In all honesty, the 2A is important to me and I won't trade it for the lives lost here or in the next shooting. Way too many millions before them also died for all the things that our constitution stands for to just give it away or let people too lazy to fix the real problem chip away at my rights.

Anyone calling for a repeal of the 2A or for severe infringement should move to the UK or elsewhere.

Tim is not the only one with this thought. This is why nothing will get done.

All we really can do is wait for the next one.

by the by, it can be changed, it is an amendment after all. i.e. booze and slavery

  6. There was originally a discount for NRA members? Do they offer military discounts, because I have rented from them before and I don't remember them offering one.

Most places don't hand out discounts, you have to ask. Unless of course you're building a second headquarter and tax abatements fall out the ying yang

  7. I’m curious about the plan to tax firearms and ammo to fund mental health services. I don’t necessarily hate the idea but why would we tax recreational shooters as a way to “help” the real underlying cause? Whatever tax may be implied would not be substantial enough to be a deterrent against violence. It’s like admitting mental health is the real issue while continuing to demonize firearm ownership in the name of “justice”.

Since we can't get universal health care and gun lovers say it's not the guns but mental health the compromise is keeping the guns while funding mental health.

It's demonizing guns the same way the gas guzzler tax demonizes v8's. Could go further and pick only certain kinds of guns or ammo to tax for example, Hunting riffles & ammo are excluded.

  8. Can someone tell me the last time the US Military won a war against a guerrilla army? Seems to me that's been quite a big problem for them since, what? Vietnam? Korea? They have a hard time killing what isn't wearing a uniform.

cause 'mericans would be able to form a guerrilla army :dumb:

  9. Greg wants you to voluntarily give up your weapons for the greater good. He wants all Americans to give up their weapons so only military and police can have guns. Surely, nothing could go wrong. Greg has the best plan therefore he can criticize everyone else's because his is so logical and realistic.

You wouldn't win against them anyway. At best you'd put up a David Koresh style stand off.

  10. I was at the 500 last year and had beer at a bar across the street and beer inside. Unless it has changed since then.

I last went about 6 or 7 years ago so they may have finally changed it.

  11. Used to go to the Brickyard and sat at the end of the Turn 3 grandstand. You could see them come out of 2 thru exiting turn 4. They have big screens at every turn now too.

Other than that, a breaded pork tenderloin is a must.

***AND NO BEER SALES ON SUNDAY INCLUDING BARS AROUND THE TRACK**** unless it's changed but I doubt it, it's Indiana after all.

  12. well, fuck my shit:

    https://gizmodo.com/ajit-pai-is-reportedly-being-investigated-by-the-fccs-i-1823029745

It's pretty telling when your own agency thinks you are such a shill that they need to verify it.

By the way this isn't even over net neutrality, it's over Sinclair media's attempt to become the local broadcast monopoly.

For those who don't know sinclair broadcast group - they are the media company that makes liars out of people who use the term "liberal media". They are the largest television operator in the country and are wildly conservative. If you think your local news isn't politically charged, think again - Sinclair owns 3 of the local stations in Columbus broadcast area. And their tactics are shady as shit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinclair_Broadcast_Group#Political_views

so...if fuckboi Ajit Pai is found to be the shill the world thinks he is, then what? do we get our net neutrality back?

3? I thought it was just ABC and Fox, what's the 3rd?

  13. You serious, Clark?

Sure. Since I guess it's not obvious. We're basing this off the assumption that citizens aren't allowed to own guns? So you would be okay with only police and military having guns? You see no potential issue there?

I was, and this is the negatives? So we'll be like every other first world country? sounds terrible. Maybe they can throw in universal healthcare too and make our lives a living hell.
