  1. Ah yes, of course. I would be satisfied with either the LS6 or LS2, so I'm not worried about that.
  2. ^ Another great point. 1. What is different about the 06/07 V? Upgraded diff? 2. If I get a Camaro, it will most certainly be the LS3. 3. I don't NEED four seats, but I'm not sure how practical a C5 would be for driving every day. I'm also not sure it would even fit in my single car garage, as my Caprice only clears the opening by a couple inches on each side. I actually really like the interior on the 5th gen Camaro. Keep in mind, any car I buy will have a much nicer interior than what I'm used to. Of all the cars I've owned, I think the nicest interior I ever had was a '99 Buick Regal GS. Yes, I'm being serious, as sad as that is This is something I hadn't considered. Another great point.
  3. ^ This is easily one of my favorite BMWs ever made, as far as exterior styling. I'm just not sure how well they fit into my price range, and I sure as hell wouldn't look forward to big $$$ maintenance down the road that you'll get with most German cars (yes, I'm fully aware my ignorance is showing).
  4. ^ Solid points. ^ This is good advice, I appreciate it. I am trying to keep an open mind, which is why I'll consider just about anything. I do like the GT Legacys so I'll probably look into those too. But even if I ignore my GM bias, I really do like the four cars I mentioned and I know I would be happy with any one of them.
  5. Budget is 20k max. I'm a big GM guy, and a big LS fan. That being said, i would consider any manufacturer. Well said. You pretty much nailed it
  6. And no, I don't want to buy some pussy Corolla or something like that. Sure it would be the smartest and most practical choice, but what's the fun in that?
  7. I am thinking about buying a new daily at some point this year that will actually bring me into the 21st century. Between my Caprice and S10 (both 20+ years old now) I am ready to buy something newer and nicer, especially since I'll be spending a lot of time driving around the city for work, so having something reliable with a decent interior (but still fun to drive) will be important. Whatever car I get will be driven year round. I'll still have a beater truck to drive on the shittiest days of winter, but I'm sure the new car will still see it's share of bad weather. I'm also planning on keeping the car for at least five years, so I want to make sure I'm happy with whatever I get. Here's what I'm thinking: 04-07 CTS-V. This is probably my first choice, for several reasons. It just seems like the ideal daily driver. 08-09 G8 GT. I'm not sure how I feel about an automatic as my "fun" car, but I guess if it's my daily and not a weekend cruiser, I can deal with it. 10-13 Camaro SS. Would be a 2SS/RS with a stick shift. Not sure if I would enjoy driving it year round though. 04-06 GTO. Probably the least appealing option on the list, but also the cheapest. If I can find a clean, taken care of 6-speed for a good price, why not at least consider it? So, what are your thoughts? I'm curious to hear CR's opinions.

    2JZ Vette

Very cool. It's certainly not the sound you would expect to hear from that car, but it sounds great.
  9. You too brother, this phone is SWEET!
  10. I'll take the G2. PMing now...
  11. I thought the same thing.
  12. Cliffs? I'm curious to know the major points they omitted
  13. I saw that, but he has exactly zero experience in IT and computer related fields, so I didn't think he would be qualified. I'm sure he's looking for more than $13/hr, that's just a number I threw out there as I'm sure he would consider a wage in that ballpark if the opportunity was a good fit. High school grad. He went to CSCC for a year or so, but was working 50-60 hours a week in GFS management by the time he was 20 years old, and never went back to school to pursue a degree.
  14. I'm sure it depends on the job, but generally speaking, probably $13/hr minimum. If it's a job with a low starting pay but decent growth potential, I'm sure he would be interested
  15. One of my best friends (known for 20+ years) is seeking a career change. Right now he is an independent contractor doing cable hookups and similar work for Time Warner, but after several turnovers in management is ready for something new. It's a pretty awful gig if you ask me, and he deserves something a lot better. He's a stand up guy, very responsible and hard working. Before his current job he was a Sales Manager at Gordon Food Service for several years, and briefly worked as a front end manager at Dick's Sporting Goods. He is pretty much open to anything that offers a Monday thru Friday (day shift) type of schedule, or something along those lines. So basically no retail, simply because he is married and has a two-year-old daughter, and the time he spends with his family is very important to him. He has applied at several various positions and hasn't even received a call for an interview yet, so I'm seeking the help of CR. I found a link on here for a job at Manheim Auctions and sent it his way. Does anyone else have any leads? If so, please let me know and I'll pass it on to him. Thanks for reading
  16. Seriously, who are the jackoffs that invented the targeting rule a few years ago? It's fucking stupid. Maybe we should change boxing too. No punching above the neck! Head shots are too dangerous!
  17. I remember back when they let guys actually play football. They would throw a flag for unnecessary roughness, they wouldn't eject a player because he hit someone above the waist too hard.
  18. This x100000. FUCK "targeting", seriously what a bunch of fagball pussy BS. Let's change football so it's two hand touch, and cover the field with a giant pillow while we're at it.
  19. Exactly this. Why the fuck would you schedule a big bowl game new years day at 10am? Dumb dumb dumb. Which is a stupid idea, IMO.
  20. I don't remember who I picked (and apparently I'm still well entrenched in last place lol) I'm just extremely glad to see FSU getting whooped. I always love seeing the Semenholes lose
  21. If you gotta go front load, just find the best deal you can regardless of brand (but don't buy a Frigidaire washer or dryer under any circumstance). Scratch-n-dent, clearance, special order return, etc is the way to go. Whatever gets the price down. And definitely get a 5-year warranty.
  22. Mountain Dew is awesome. I used to drink between 3 and 6 cans a day back when I worked a 12 hr/shift warehouse job ^ This. Send them a pic, you'll probably get a free Mountain Dew mini fridge or some shit
