  1. I might have to look into that, doesn't CoreOne/Kemba have something like that too? I'll need a loan for college once my money runs out after this quarter, and I don't want to start paying money back on my loans until after I've graduated. I really don't wanna deal with that FAFSA bullshit and Stafford loans or w/e the hell it is with all the damn endless paperwork.....
  2. I usually drive through there at least once a week, and luckilly nothing like that has happened to me, cause if it did I'd probably track the fucker down and run him over a few times.
  3. Don't buy rotors from CarQuest. When I did my brakes last week, the two rotors they sold me looked the same, but one was Japanese and one was made in Mexico and looked like it had been sitting on the shelf for quite a while. When I put my new pads on (the same exact kind of semi-ceramic pads I had before) they were too tall and I could barely get them on the rotor on the driver side, and the passenger side I couldn't even fit on there because the rotor seemed a bit too thick. I went back and they gave me a new rotor, and this one was made in the USA. The pads cleared on this rotor but now the car hooks to the left slightly when I brake hard. They can't even give me two matching rotors, obviously they don't have their shit together.
  4. I've also been pulled over by Hilliard cops because my "muffler was loud." Twice actually, and numerous other times for other little things (front license plate in window, taillight blackouts, checking my age past curfew, etc). No tickets, just warnings. Hilliard cops don't have much to do so they'll just pull you over to make sure you're not "ridin dirty" as others have stated. They see a kid driving around in a loud car and they pull me over and hope I'm drunk or have drugs on me or something. Stereotyping is a bitch.
  5. True, but some of these people seriously buy the car and park it straight in the garage to be stored. I'm not saying that the Z06 should be his DD, but how can you enjoy it if you only drive it a couple miles each year? Well I guess its his money, so he can do whatever he wants with it, but it seems silly to me.....
  6. The TrailBlazer SS is expensive but freakin awesome IMO, the Monte Carlo SS and Impala SS are pretty nice, and the SC Cobalt SS is nice except for the hideous wing on the decklid. I agree that the Malibu SS is a dumb overpriced idea, although it looks MUCH better than the base model and is a pretty nice car. I'm thinking that the high end Camaro will be the Z28, not the SS. It depends on how they keep up with this whole SS advertising thing. They might just keep going crazy and throwing the SS label on all their cars (can you say Aveo SS? ) but I could see the Camaro SS just being a Z28 with a couple extras, much like the 4th gen SS/Z28 that had the SLP package. Who knows though, only time will tell. As for the GM merger rumor, I find it hard to believe that they would actually do such a thing. Say whatever you want about product line cannibalizaton and all that, but I think it would be a horrible idea to dump more brand names, particularly the Chevrolet name.
  7. My brother works at Streamline. They do good work for a good price.
  8. I don't understand why some of these rich people buy these awesome cars and then stick them in a garage and never drive them. Most of them probably do it not because they love the car, but just so they can brag to their friends and family. If you have a car, aren't you supposed to drive it? It's like buying a nice house in Hawaii and never staying there. Seems like a total waste.
  9. Hahaha thanks but no thanks
  10. ^ ^ ^ "Don't count your chickens before they've hatched"..... Here's an idea: try and be just a little more professional when selling a car and maybe you'll have more luck.
  11. A friend of mine works at the DiCarlo's in Hilliard. I heard from a few people that it was pretty nasty, but I haven't personally tried it yet. The best pizza I've had was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A place called Mountain High Pizza Pie. AMAZING pizza. There was also a place down in St. Petersburg Florida called Luigi B.G.'s and it was pretty awesome too.
  12. I went to Columbus Square tonight, not real exciting. Didn't know many people there so I left around midnight. It seems like it was just a bunch of people standing around by their cars in each of their little groups. I guess maybe it woulda been more fun if there was more of a turnout and I actually knew some ppl.....
  13. Thanks for the welcome everyone! :burn:
  14. Damn, some people I know had told me about Columbus Square meets on Friday and Saturday nights but I hadn't got around to making it out there yet. What kind of car was that "drifter" driving? Funny shit!
  15. If you beef it up, it can probably hold 400 RWHP without any problems. Anything more than that and the 700R4 won't last very long. A lot of the 3rd gen guys use the TH350 with their built up motors, but these cars aren't daily driven because fuel economy will suffer significantly. You might need to look into getting a new rear too, because a stock 10 bolt probably won't last very long with 400+ hp.
  16. FWHP = FLYWHEEL HP. 170 hp at the crank, probably around 140-150 to the wheels. For a stock suspension setup it handles pretty nicely IMO.
  17. My names Steve, I drive a '92 Chevy Camaro RS. It has over 190k miles on a mostly stock TBI 305 V8 (engine code LO3). Very durable engine, but pretty slow, I'll admit. Peanut cam, restrictive exhaust, poor flowing heads, throttle body injection, and being pretty detuned from the factory all adds up to 170 FWHP and 255 lb/ft tq in stock form. Throw in the auto tranny and 2.73 peg leg rear, and you've got yourself one slow Camaro! Luckilly the car handles very well and has tons of potential. All it has so far is a 3'' Flowmaster catback, dual snorkel intake, and a pretty big timing advance. I'm in college now (at CSCC) so it's taking a while to save some money but the car will be repainted very soon, and sometime in the next year or so I'm hoping to do an engine swap. Whats up everyone?
