Speed Kills

Grand Cayman would get my vote, the most beautiful water anywhere last time io I went diving there the underwater visibility was almost 200 feet. It's a little less commercial than most destinations, but still plenty of stuff to do, it's also probably the safest place to go in that part of the world as well. Fantastic white sand beaches, warm water and friendly people.

The motor isn't the weak point, the jank t-9 is the weak point. But T-5 swap parts are cheap and not as much of a pain in the ass on the 87 and later cars. With the right supporting mods (LA3 &Big VAM, Injectors, intercooler, AFPR and an MBC 250ish maybe a little more is possible. http://www.turboford.org is your friend I really need to get out in the garage and do some work on mine.

I have it for ps2 and 360, so far i like the 360 version (i have one more set to get through on hard on the 360 version). I still don't think i'll ever be able to beat teh game on expert (and this is after almost 6 months of playing it)
