  1. Thanks for the pics Wagner. Thanks for the compliments BEWK and Anthony. Dave
  2. Chopin, Mopar rules. Are you any relation to Brad or Scott Chopin out of Delaware? Jeff, The 4.10s are great at the track. I am going through the traps at ~7000 rpm, 130 mph. I’m at the top of 4th, I do not shift into 5th gear. On the street, first and second gears require a light gas pedal. With the TKO 0.68 overdrive, highway cruising is fine 80 mph @ 3000 rpm. Appx speed in 5th gear @ 7000 rpm is 189mph. I usually take pictures of anybody that runs. With two exceptions, if you ran while I was at the starting line there is a picture of your car/bike. My wife takes pictures when I’m driving. Dave
  3. Anthony, One of my favorite pics of my race car is the same way, that little timing light wall hides the front wheels and pavement. Tim, Thanks for the tips. Your pictures are awesome. I received a D in photography class in high school, true story. Roy, Your honda is one of the few that I like. I never did see a clean pass on Friday though. Are you crazy letting those women drive your car? Alex, Thanks for the compliment. The car is supercharged (T-trim) with aftercooler (~18psi). I'm proud to say that I built and tuned the car. Details: Weldon fuel system, MSD ignition system, ss kooks w/3" ss exhaust, forged bottom end, head work, TKO, true trac w/4.10s and strange axles, some MM suspension equip My most recent mod is borrowed slicks and a smoked Spec stage 3 clutch. I was able to add the finishing touches to the clutch on Friday. Good clutch though, 6 years of 500+ rwhp beatings.
  4. I had a great time, here are the pics to prove it: http://s451.photobucket.com/albums/qq240/dhart281/ntr%209-11-09/ Dave
  5. PB: 11.103@130.22 Got warned about no cage so I ran 1/8 the rest of the day. I was going to run it out the back door on a "good" pass but I burned the clutch first. My third pass was 0.3 quicker in the 1/8 than my first. On that pass, I missed 4th gear or I think I would be much happier with my new PB. What an awesome event! Dave
  6. Nice pictures. Great perspective on the starting line. Was that from the aluminum grandstand? Dave
  7. Congratulations Anthony and Tina! Wedding Day of a friend. Perfect Weather. Fast Tech lines. On the track early. Sticky track. What a day. Dave
  8. Thanks to all. I had a good time and will be signing up for the next event. Is there a way to speed up tech. That guy is f u c k i n g s l o w.
  9. I have three weeks of work to get done in two. On March 24, my list started out simple: fix exhaust leak at collector refinish headers Install shift light send tranny parts to liberty gear for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear faceplate polish and wax car The tranny was a three week turnaround from liberty, so that has to wait. Here is the latest revised list: Install new kooks headers Fab SS 3" exhaust smaller supercharger pulley install poly motor mounts install shift light check/retorque head studs oil, oil filter, fuel filter, sparkplugs tune This list is not impossible, but working on a mod motor is a pain in the ass. I'm halfway done and have not pulled the motor, yet. It should MPH good at the track event, if I make it. However, my ETs will still suck because of traction problems and granny shifting. Dave
  10. I can't wait! I'm sick of this weather. I've driven my car maybe 1/2 mile since the second week of November. I was hoping to have my fast car ready this spring, but that might have to wait until Fall.
  11. The high wages that UAWs get paid wouldn't be so bad if the lazy assholes would work!! Every factory I've been to looks like a flop house with people sitting around reading newspapers and playing cards. It's not all one sided though, too many managers and executives have sold out the future of the company to make short term gains and get a big bonus. I think the big 2.5 are trying to change, but it may be too little too late. Oh, I forgot to mention that every suck ass yuppie wanna-be buys toyota or honda. Dave
  12. I like Performance Research Inc. in Westerville. They have done a lot of machine work for me. I double check and assemble and have never had an issue with their work. Dave
  13. Awesome vids Brian. Thanks for taking the time to get them posted. Dave
  14. I would like to sign up to race on Saturday. Is there a paypal link or something? Dave
  15. I'm glad that you guys like the pics. Anthony your bird was very loud, it rang my ears as you went by. TurboRust, It's my street car. It has been filling in for the track beast that has been down for the last 2-3 years. Next spring is the come back tour for my white car. It has run 1.30 sixty foot, no traction problems there! See ya in the spring. Dave
  16. Pics at: http://s451.photobucket.com/albums/qq240/dhart281/ntr%2010-3-08/ BTW, I had a great day. Good track and awesome air, my best time of the day was 11.34 @ 130.5 mph. I would like to do this once a month from May to October. Thanks to those that organized this track day. Dave
  17. Try this: http://www.erepairables.com/search/by_make_model/dodge:magnum/index.html I've been looking for a cheap 5.7 hemi to put into a dodge shadow. The daily commute would be a little more interesting.
  18. I read "crazy lesbian motorcycle riders." What the fuck, there are no lesbians in this?
  19. 11.30 @ 127.7, 1.72 best mph 128.3 I was suprised to run a best 1.62 short time. On one pass I asked my Dad to sit in the back seat. Unfortunately, the track was getting pretty beat up by that point and I spun. I was sure that a 1.55 was in it, with a little rear ballast. Dave
  20. Today was perfect. These are the only drag racing events that I like to participate in. IMO, nothing beats this grass roots style of event where comradery and competition go hand in hand. Thanks to those who helped organize and run the event. Amy thanks for the water box help. Sign me up for next year, Spring and Fall. Dave
