  1. Hey guys I am just throwing this out there and I may entertain offers in the $6,500 range (was asking 7K firm). I recently picked up a 99 Black M6 Trans Am and decided 2 things about the car. First is, black is hard to keep clean and the second is, I need an auto around the house in case the wife needs to drive it. I just claybarred, light swirl remover, and put 2 coats of NX gen wax on her this week. Facts about the car Pros: Clean title. 123,000 miles. All stock except for JVC CD player, K&N filter and aftermarket exhaust (unknown brand, but sounds awesome). Interior is in great shape, no seat rips. Matching Kuhmos with good tread left. Everything works as it should, car feels nice and peppy. Previous owner said clutch was 10K miles old and it has a newer waterpump All fluids look nice. Cons: Hood has a couple of chip spots. Usual door panel cracks. Seat belt holder on passenger side front seat broke. Power antenna is stuck upright (better up than down). Rear rim has a bend in it, holds air and drives fine. I am searching for another one now. It is located in Proctorville, OH 45669. Asking 7K or trade for an auto lighter color Trans Am in as good shape as this one. PM me or email me at cldetamore@zoominternet.net Thanks, Chris http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am%201999-black%20M6/IMG_1617.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am%201999-black%20M6/IMG_1618.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am%201999-black%20M6/IMG_1620.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am%201999-black%20M6/IMG_1627.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am%201999-black%20M6/IMG_1622.jpg View alot more pics at http://s374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am%201999-black%20M6/
  2. Nothing is bad about the rain, but you don't make a comment like that when you know it isn't true.
  3. Yeah, sure I will buy that;) I could use the wheels and hood for my TA.
  4. I posted it up on KYhorsepower.com for ya. Good luck with the sale. Nice car!
  5. Trans Am sold, but still selling this or trading for a TA/Camaro.
  6. Pending sale to a guy in Chicago.
  7. Tim, thanks for the compliments. I think I am registered there, never thought about listing it though. I was really trying for a somewhat "local" sale. I will venture over there now. Tim, I tried but it says I don't have permission. Oh well.
  8. **REDUCED** $5,200 2001 Nissan Maxima SE with the unique 20th Anniversary Edition package. This package includes custom ground effects, 17 inch wheels and unique front headlights and taillights. This Maxima is optioned out with heated leather interior, silver faced gauges, automatic transmission, moonroof, auto headlights and rear dimming mirror, AM/FM cassette/CD with a 6 disk changer in the trunk, keyless entry, tilt, cruise, cold AC with digital climate control. It is powered by a V6 engine with 134K miles and runs great. The tires are in good shape, but are a mismatched set. There is a crack in the front windshild (down low), I think someone dropped the wiper arm as they were changing blades. The only interior flaw is some leather has torn away at the drivers side bolster. Everything else is in very good shape. I have may pics available and can take others that are requested. Firm price of $5,500 Thanks, Chris http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Maxima/IMG_1454.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Maxima/IMG_1455.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Maxima/IMG_1440.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Maxima/IMG_1443.jpg http://s374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Maxima/
  9. This was not my intention when I purchased this car, but my Maxima just hasn't sold. Here is some info on the car. 2000 Pontiac Trans Am -111K miles and runs out good -automatic with 3.23 gears -NBM (navy blue metalic) exterior with black leather interior -newer tires and brakes -all stock vehicle with exception of K&N filter -good title car and I have the title in hand -20% tinted windows -chrome wheels Things that need addressed: -Chrome is separating from the wheels, but look great from 10 feet (I can get you a set of 17" gray Firehawks for a good price if needed) -drivers side power window motor is lazy (I have the part just needs installed) -the rear tires need resealed (I will try and fix this this weekend) -has typical "piston slap" goes away after warm up -I am in the process of installing new valve cover gaskets (drivers side done) they were leaking like crazy -front nose cone could use a repaint Typical things for a 9 year old car. The trans is tight and the steering is great. Car is actually a very nice ride that needs just a few odd and ins. The interior is in great shape minus the drivers floor mat, which has a wear spot. It even has the T-top shades included. Looking to get $6,500 out of her, I have some bills to pay. Sorry about the dirty pics, but I have only had time to steam clean the interior. Thanks, Chris http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am/IMG_1475.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am/IMG_1472.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am/IMG_1474.jpg http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am/IMG_1473.jpg http://s374.photobucket.com/albums/oo190/1quikta/Trans%20Am/
  10. Not a big Mustang fan, but that Super Snake is badass. That one on Bullrun is nice. Traction is a major issue.

    Gm Recall

The recall on GTPs came out a year or 2 ago.
  12. Looking for a 7.5" 10 bolt 3 series posi unit (4 channel rearend) for a 2000 Trans Am. I would like to find one with 3.42 or 3.73 gears as well. I may even consider the whole rearend for a cheap price;) TIA, Chris
  13. That didn't take long, Congrats! Your work must speak for itself.
  14. AJ, I spoke with Mike and he said the seat will be at the collision center for pick up Monday-Friday. Appreciate the offer to get it, but I will either be up early in the week or my buddys sister that lives up there may swing by and get it. Then, his mom and dad can bring it home this weekend. Thanks, Chris
  15. Man, this just keeps getting better. I call and of course I get connected with the collision center? Talk to the secretary and a guy named Mike is supposed to call me back? Just figures, wait for a month on that seat (which is in my sales contract), then I may have to fight to get it. I can't believe everyone there was shafted like that. Was the place losing money?
  16. HAHA, I just wanted to make sure it was the right one before my 3 hr trip. I made 2 trips to Columbus last fall for cars and got shafted on both. I am coming up sometime next week, probably during the day. Are you available then? On a side note, any luck with a job or are definitely out of one with the dealerships new owners?
  17. AJ, sucks this crappy economy got to you. Hopefully you can transfer over to another dealership. On a side note, when is the dealership actually closing? This is the one on airport road? Wifey and I bought a Denali there last month and I was coming up next week to pick up the other half of my 3rd row seat.
  18. Hey dfresh, you are correct. I unplugged it last night and the sound is gone. I have read on the Maxima boards that guys are running with these unplugged and zero issues. How true is this and how hard is the mount to replace/cost? I also had an issue with the charging system. Came up to C'bus last weekend and on the way home the battery and brake lights came on. I stopped at Advance for an in car test and the alternator was suspect. I limped the car home (2.5hrs), if I stayed above 2K RPM it would go off at first, then that was of no use. I took the alt off and had it checked. Two different place checked it out OK, said the belt was slipping. Reinstalled it with a new belt and it fires up at 14.54 volts. Let it run for 5-10 minutes and it drops to 12.04 across the battery and alt terminal both. Does the regulator sound fried? I have time to pull it again this morning, but what a PITA.
  19. Thanks Gearhead. I figure that ABS assembly is bad. Now to find a used one. I have to run back to Columbus soon anyway, pick up a 3rd row seat for the new "2006" Denali. It was missing.
  20. I had a TCS light and ABS come on and off today. Also, had my alternator tested, yeah I need a new one of those too. Think it may be the ABS actuator assembly.
  21. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with the active motor mounts in a 5th gen Maxima. I truthfully haven't had time to deal with it. I sold my wifes SUV and she is driving the Maxima and I can't find any time to check it out. I need to unplug the mount and see if it stops, will do that tonight.
  22. After dealing with 2 kids and woking midnights I will say 3.
