  1. probably better off just saving the tabs (no not for scrap, thats a myth) We have been doing that at work because every now and then some of the guys kids collect them for some school BS... Last week this lady walks in and was talking about who-knows-what with another guy here and sees the large container of tabs. She inquires about them and we're just like "no idea... kind of a habit to throw them in there." She goes on to say that she knows this little girl in the hospital (with Cancer or something like that) who can get A DOLLAR towards medical expenses for EACH one of them. Needless to say we gave them all to her.
  2. at my place they allow only gas, and only on the bottom concrete patios.
  3. sounds like fun. I would like to try and see what she'll do. I envy all the guys out west. with thier desert / rock trails. Only thing that seems to suck about OH is tree'd forest trails. I dont really want to pinstripe it lol
  4. So far I like most everything. The interior is more simple (no auto AC ect), with TONS of room... being a big square box with rather thin panels it feels huge. No creaks or rattles to speak of, and once you drive one a bit you get used to the blindspots, and it doesn't really feel all that big anymore. Drives great over our shitty roads. I do need to get under it tonight and grease the zerks on the yokes and spider gears on the drive-shafts as they develop a sort of clunk feeling when you stop at lights when they bind under engine load while braking. It all appears rather well-built though you can still feel the Toyota truck in it... Doors weight half as much as a mini cooper door, and give a hollow thud upon closing. The wiper stalk and cruise are identical to a 95 corolla, with im sure a few other parts... Door handles are exactly like my bosses '10 Tundra.... stuff like that. Kind of cool when it comes to the familiarity. The Mini was very quirky with everything. the 3 windshield wipers are awesome Only problem I have is the wheels on these like to bubble or corrode under the paint between the spokes... oh well. Ill keep this one clean but 'its a truck'. I feel almost liberated from the insane OCD I had with my other cars... It was difficult keeping the MINI pristine and DD'ing it 25K miles a year. The other ones test drove better than this one drives. I attribute this to the tires. I have ordered a whole new set, and they 'gave me' money off the car price to do so, as these ones are the OEM Dunlops and are about shot.... I'm hoping for good things with the General Grabber AT2's that should be arriving today or early next week. Basically a BFG KO knockoff minus the stiff (10ply I think) E load rating... I dont need that sort of beast yet
  5. questionable taste.. good intro welcome
  6. makes sense. Back in 03-04 or so when I detailed cars there (straight from auction) Steven seemed pretty shady... Dusty on the other hand was pretty cool. Is he still around?
  7. PenFed credit union is offering 2.49% on up to 60 months Used them on my Mini (which was new) BUT they have been excellent overall
  8. nice. probably has nice clothes and the cars as the story states, then comes home to a broke ass crap hole detroit hood rich lol
  9. Wow dealerships suck at pictures... They got the Cooper relisted, but wow lol (not sure if this long link will work) http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=300084621&dealer_id=1368986&car_year=2009&systime=&doors=&model=COOPERS&search_lang=en&start_year=2009&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&search_type=used&distance=25&min_price=&rdm=1305773839314&drive=&marketZipError=false&advanced=&fuel=&keywords_display=&lastBeginningStartYear=1981&end_year=2009&showZipError=n&make2=&certified=&engine=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&body_code=0&transmission=&ct=u&ct=u&default_sort=&max_mileage=&color=&address=45249&sort_type=priceDESC&max_price=&awsp=false&make=MINI&seller_type=d&num_records=25&cardist=26&standard=false compared to the last shot I got on my way out that morning http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/Mini/05142011.jpg
  10. dude in the background is like "wtf? where's the movie?"
  11. Im about a month away from mine, and we have a lot of good people in my opinion, but the best contact I have would be Sauer Cakes. Incredibly tasty stuff lol. Reasonable prices too. Other than that we are having it at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City (ceremony (outdoor), reception, and food all here). DJ is Rob at Encore Entertainment, Flowers on Springtree Lane, Romanoffs for Tuxes, Using Minister Photography for pics (I think she is retiring from the business soon though), Alternative Hitches for Invites, and Chase Waits if you need an officient (cool guy). and my brother suggested (not mine) http://i.imgur.com/kBYWz.jpg
  12. makes me glad to be dead in about 60 years lol
  13. Yeah same here. I was always paranoid about even having after-market gauges (which I did). Always figured if someone got the urge to have them they'd just smash and grab...
  14. Like others said, Able. My parents are getting one from the hail, as are some of the neighbors. They do a good job, it was just the bad bad weather. Just had a great looking one put on their house probably 4 years ago. I believe Able did that one as well. I think they really work well on insurance work if that is your situation.
  15. People are fucking stupid. Sad to see good people on the receiving end of it. Basically just cannot have jack shit in your cars these days (at least visible in any way). sad
