  1. Some of us diesel guys are going down to Edgewater on the 15th...one truck shooting for mid-low 11's, and a few of us shooting for 12's.

Other than that, I'm sure there is a sled pull somewhere this weekend...it's Ohio after all.

  2. Ok am i the only one thinking what possibly could a 20yr old have that is so valuable that he would need a prenup? Because if you earn things while you are together then it was done as a team and she would deserve some of it if things went sour...maybe im wrong here

Since he posted he has a $200K house and 3 vehicles, this won't really mean much...but:

I will never say "I do" before I have a little signed paper, for the simple fact that we (my family) own and operate a fairly successful business, and it has been that way for about 50 years...it was here before her, and will be after her, whether she wants to be a part of it while she's here, who cares...she will not be once she's gone;)

She will just have to trust me to take care of her when things go sour...if not, get lost!

  3. I've been taking measurements on my 1500 Ram to see if something fits or not

1500 Ram huh...you mean something like a backhalfed, ladder bar/coilover setup, roll cage, short bed, 6000RPM capable, 100psi+ boost fire breathing Cummins.

Yeah, coming soon when I get the parts together...truck is here, backhalf in the barn, and enough parts to build the engine. Waiting on time to put it together!

Best wishes on your build, hopefully one day I will be in near reach for the same goal. Hopefully yours will impress you this time and I definatly would like to be able to see it in person one day when it is done. As for the previous statements hopefully you realize that I am not anything like the kind of people who buy a diesel truck and start throwing parts at it just to later add up the numbers of what the boxes say they are and call that my Hp numbers, nor do I quote that I have high numbers just to impress other people who aren't as familiar with diesel trucks.

Thanks...glad we got that straight. Now buy that turbo from Slowdiesel and get to it!

  4. Trust me...I'm relaxed as it gets;)

If it sounded sarcastic, I didn't see if, and neither did a few other people...maybe you shouldn't be sarcastic until you master that fine art;)

Thank you for the clarification though:rolleyes:

Also, as tome claiming I have a "bunch of power," I have quit guessing how much power my truck makes...it never makes what I think it should...but that is about to change. Parts are in place for 600+...nothing stock but the shortblock, and a lot of tuning has went into it. We'll see how it does...if it disappoints, I'll do what I always do...keep tuning until it suits me!

I stand by my previous statements:D

  5. It didn't beat the mustang, but 12's ain't bad.

I plan on getting a 24V next spring. I've been dying for a diesel truck for sometime. Nobody round Columbus has a fast diesel.

    Look closer...we're out there;)

12v are cheaper, easy to work on, and break less stuff all because of the lack of electronic parts. They take a lot more to make the same amount of power as a 24v. There is less to go wrong.

24v makes way more power, and you have the adjustability on the fly of different power levels when using a programer like my Edge Comp box. The biggest thing to go wrong on 24v are the fuel systems, mostly the Injection pump and being the most expensive to replace. All three of mine cost about $1,600 a peice. I have unfortunatly been going through one about once a year.

Both truck suffer from weak auto trans and some rear ends. I have been through both of those already. With my new Injectors I am on borrowed time with my torque convertor.

    Umm...WRONG!

12v's = THE NO HOLD BARRED, POWER KINGS;) One did 1450hp a couple weeks back, about 400hp ahead of anything with a VP injection pump and 24v's:D The Common Rail 24v's are coming quick though, a couple of them have been DARN close to 1300hp on spray, around 1000hp on fuel only.

Get a clue, and stop spouting off about HP numbers until you get on a dyno and prove them. 200HP injectors and an Edge juice with a stock turbo...please, please stop making the rest of us diesel lovers look bad.

  6. Trunk has a little in it that someone tried to fix. There is a very small hole starting around the rear window, smaller than a 1/2" if I remember correctly. And there is some surface rust starting in the drip channel above the drivers door.

Floor boards and quarters look OK.

My best advice is to come look for yourself, and tell me if I'm way off!

I need to get rid of this thing, I have some other things I need to do, and this is holding me back.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  7. PICS found HERE!

Here's a few pics...I haven't gotten to clean it up, and I just pulled it out of the barn about 2 days ago. It's a little dirty, but not terrible.

Also, remembered something else...the alternator is new, but isn't charging. Must be a broken wire that I haven't traced down. I've got a red top in it that starts it fine about 10 times before it needs charged:D

    Thanks Again guys,

    Chris

  8. 1970 Chevelle Malibu, Burgundy with SS hood and black stripes. Original wheels, new tires. Condition is OK, hood has some filler in it, engine runs good, but needs the carb tuned.

I bought this car 6 years ago, and was going to fix it up, new motor, update suspension, etc, etc. It's still like it is when I bought it. Too many other things going on, and I'd rather see it leave than just sit here.

It does have some rust, but nothing too major.

Pics coming as soon as the weather co-operates.

Call, PM, or e-mail...740-505-0240 or c_mayer@mayerfarmequipment.com

Price is $6000 OBO...I have $6750 in it!

    Thanks for Looking!

  9. Anyone have some 12V parts laying around, or a wrecked Ram?

I am looking for the bellhousing, adapter plate from the back of the motor, flywheel, clutch assy, and an NV-4500 trany in 4WD configuration, transfer case as well if you got it. I am putting together a little project, and dont want to be paying going rate on new parts.

Also, if you have some bombing acessories, I could use those as well, namely some POD or Bosch 190 Injectors.

Post here, or send me a PM.

    Thanks

    Andrew

I might have a bellhousing and flywheel laying around...I'll let you know!
