Looking at stuff from the season Auburn was left out and found this little tidbit "Likely 4 team playoff: USC vs. Utah; Oklahoma vs. Auburn."

Never said they did, but your argument is they play against nobody, my argument is they play on a level playing field of their regular season competition. Then once they get to a bowl game, they play above their competition in most cases. Fun fact, OSU is 4-0 under Meyer in games they are the underdog.

Remember all those 4 and 5 star kids Boise State recruited during those years? Yeah me either haha

So that matters? Auburn was an undefeated, power 5, conference champion, by your own words that is what it takes to be top 2 in the BCS. Yet there they were, on the outside looking in as two 1 loss teams faced off against one another. FWIW Auburn was preseason #17 that season...

I've been calling for an 8 team playoff since they announced there was going to be a playoff haha. I too have stated you should have to win your conference championship in order to get into the playoffs, you're preaching to the choir in that regard brother!

Remember Boise State winning BCS games lol. Hell Boise is 10-5 in Bowl games and 4 of their losses are by 6 points or less haha.

Tress going to TTUN would bring back what is lost in the rivalry right now, that's for sure haha. Oh man I don't think I would even want to get on any football related forums for a long time if that were to ever happen.

How is it magnitudes better? You have 5 teams with 1 loss each, fighting for basically 3 spots. I don't think that it's a much better system than what there was before, there is still going to be at least 2 teams left out, who can argue that they were screwed, barring any upsets. Tress was just quoted 2 weeks ago saying he doesn't even watch football and that he has only watched a few quarters of OSU since leaving. He has a nice comfy job as college president, I don't see him leaving that to go play in the cornfields of Nebraska with a subpar team. I am surprised Jon Grudens name hasn't been mentioned for that job or maybe Bill Cowher, they seem to have their names tossed out for any job opening available ever.

Listening to Mike and Mike earlier and they were discussing how this years playoff system is not much different than the BCS. They had an expert who said, bcs vs playoff, the rankings are within 1. The biggest difference is, Florida State would be left out of the BCS as they are not ranked #1 in any poll and the BCS didn't really give any credit for conference championships.

It's been well known that the SEC has bagman as well as Alabama players showing up to campus in brand new Cadilac's and suits, which by the way a couple years ago the suit store had several autographed pictures of current/past players hanging up. The SEC is also known for over signing big time, they'll take 30-35 kids in a recruiting class, where everyone else is taking 25. Next thing you know, there is 10 current players buried on the depth chart who suddenly have medical issues and are basically released. Aside from Saban coming off as a dick, I would put Dantonio up there as well. Although with Dantonio I think it's more of a Bill Belichick "I don't wanna speak to reporters" type mannerism.

Cardale was at the whac today working on his throws, it was osu's day off today. Last time a guy practiced by himself it worked out well (Marshall).

Hopefully Ga Tech can jump on FSU in the 1st half like every other team has, but continue to do so in the 2nd half. I honestly think the only one that happens is Kansas St over Baylor (besides OSU over Wisky obviously), but crazier things have happened (see the 2007 season)

College football is a business, as a business they will want the most profit possible. Ohio State vs Anyone not named TCU/Baylor gives them that haha.

My picks for this week Arizona vs Oregon Missouri vs Alabama Wisconsin vs Ohio State Kansas St vs Baylor Florida State vs Georgia Tech

I bet it does...TCU will be playing 2-9 Iowa State and Baylor is without their qb (concussion) against Kansas State. I will go on a limb and say Kansas State wins that game. Beating a top 15 team with your 3rd string qb would have to impress the committee. Also, you're assuming that Bama and Oregon win their championship games. Remember, Oregon is playing a team that has already beaten them once this year. TCU vs Bama does not interest the world as much as Bama vs Ohio State. The reality of this all is that it boils down to money and who is going to bring the most of it to the party. No one brings more than Ohio State. With that said, they'll win and get shit on by the committee haha.

That topic was discussed on elevenwarriors and many on there felt it would still be a 2 horse race between Barrett and Braxton. I think if anything, it would make transferring for Jones that much easier. He finally has a chance to show other teams what he is capable of doing, all the while knowing he is still going to be #3 heading into next year regardless of what he does the rest of this year.

Every time a job opening is there, his name follows. He has a pretty good gig right now, I don't ever see him coaching again to be honest. Hell I heard Saturday at the game that he was going to discuss coaching at Michigan (an OSU fan told me that), I literally laughed. As for the bet, fine no perma ban. How about, if OSU wins Jive has to change his signature on here to "Urban Meyer once gave me a dirty sanchez" and if Wisconsin wins I will put, "Nick Saban once gave me a dirty sanchez".
