  1. Same thing I am getting at. Not crying, but I really enjoy racing at the track and can probably get a bunch of people to go as well. Oh well, hopefully they have a good turnout.
  2. You should do ok in the 13.0 index. I believe they are heads up, which means as long as you don't go faster than 13.0 but finish first you win. Or am I totally wrong here?
  3. Notice its coming mostly from those of us who actually drag race on a regular basis. Trails didn't have a problem allowing hood exit exhaust at their Friday night street events last year, Import Faceoff allows them in their street car class.
  4. The dude running it seems like a real douche. First he tells me that an NHRA license is only required at 9.99 and not at 135mph, he then tells me that hood exit exhaust are illegal but open downpipes aren't. They are illegal in the same manner, both exhaust violations. While this event looked promising at the beginning, it has a lot of fail written on it.
  5. The license part is bullshit, so is the hood exit exhaust. I run in the street class at Import Faceoff with it, I drive it on the street with no issues. Hell it's the same ticket as an open downpipe that is facing the rear of the car. I wish them the best with this event, I just won't be attending nor spreading the word about it.
  6. I'm sure they will see the times in the tower, just won't have them up on the boards.
  7. Well count me out I guess: "No hood exit exhaust systems permitted" in the 11.50 index class? The Heavyweight division is 1/8th mile, no thanks.
  8. I'm not a fan of the highest purse going to the 1/8 mile cars, but not my event. Hopefully it's more successful than the Friday Night Street Fights they had last year. There wasn't a lot of people at those events as the summer went on.
  9. Looks like an imitation of what goes on at Kil-Kare, but I am all for it since it's local for me. http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/1911882_10201614994882819_365956496_n_zps47fd78c2.jpg
  10. Was waiting on someone to post this type of thing. Not sure what the laws are over seas regarding children needing to be in a booster seat. I remember surfing in the backseat of my grandma's car all the way to West Virginia when I was 4-5 years old haha.
  11. No I don't, but I could live without cable just fine. In fact I wouldn't have it right now if it weren't for us getting it free due to my wife being a TWC employee haha. I just think it's funny how everyone bitches about something as simple as cable, if it's so horrible don't have it or go satelite and bitch about their issues, because trust me when I had Dish there was issues that arose from them just as often if not more than TWC. I also laugh at people who blame TWC for channels no longer being on their programming, when in reality channels like Speed are gone because Fox bought them out, no provider has Speed anymore. I hear both sides to this due to being married to an employee, she bitches about customers bitching and I have friends who bitch about their services.
  12. Going up to me would be the easy part, climbing back down would be the asshole puckering time.
  13. I have had a timing belt snap on a B20 (CRV engine) and another on a D15 and both times got away with simply replacing the timing belt. I snapped the belt in my GSR and bent a couple valves.
  14. NCAA proposing a rule that prohibits the offense from snapping the ball in the first 10 seconds of the 40 second play clock. Basically, if you have the ball you have to wait 10 seconds before you can snap the ball. I really don't see how that's going to work when a team is rushing to stop the clock... I swear the NCAA gets dumber by the day
  15. LOL@ everyone bitching about cable, first world problems haha!!!
  16. I read he was a 4* already...either way he looks like a kid that likes to hit and that's a great thing for a safety.
  17. Wow, so many people were excited when OSU landed him. Didn't his little brother commit to Ohio State for basketball?

  19. I wouldn't take him either, DE is not an area of high need at this point. Now if he wants to play OT then maybe you take a chance on him, but as others have said I only want kids who really want to be here. I don't want some kid who settled on OSU as a compromise with his parents.

  21. Apparently Malik McDowell's recruitment isn't over with. Mama really doesn't want him going to Michigan State, so much she has refused to sign his letter of intent which is required for anyone under 21 http://msn.foxsports.com/detroit/story/five-star-recruit-malik-mcdowell-picks-michigan-state-020514 Also read this in regards to the situation: "Malik is 100% going to MSU. Him and his dad have said as much. However, both of them are still waiting to try and get mom's blessing before faxing it in. The father will sign it alone if need be, but they'd rather mend the bridge with his mother first. Whether that happens who knows. It appears last night when Malik told his parents about him choosing MSU, his mother threw him out of the house. Today at the ceremony, he was wearing a track suit where everyone else was wearing a shirt and tie. He didn't have access to his house, he had to stay the night with his dad. His parents aren't together if you didn't know that, btw. He seemed flustered and embarrassed--like has hasn't slept in days at the ceremony today"

  23. Lot of people down talking Slade, saying he has commitment issues (we are the 3rd school he has committed too). It'll be interesting to see who is still here from this class in 3 years. I look for a lot of attrition under Urban once he starts getting his guys in here. Not that it's a bad thing, I just think a lot of positions will be log jammed with talent.
  24. Probably a combination of both, no way in hell did the kid gain 20lbs of muscle mass in a months time
