Came a little late to the discussion, but this doesn't surprise me. Ive lived in Toledo and then Cincinnati and its happened in both places where the local car forum gets a bad rep when a place does agree to let cars use their lot in the evening for a crusin. You have too look at it from their standpoint. They are trying to run a business and don't want their parking lot trashed or damage. I say damage because Ive been to cruisins where a guy in his beat up ford escort does a burnout and then loses control and drove over a curb. To say the least it was funny shit because he completely tore the suspension out of his car, bent he rims and blew his tires, but he also took a nice chunk of concrete out of the curb and ruined the landscaping in the middle. Not to mention someone standing in the crowd could have been hurt. Which brings liability into the mix. If an owner gives permission for such events they become liable. There are just too many things that can happen. Generally you have highschool kids or just plain dumb people who come to these and ruin it for everybody because they think their car is "da shit" and cause fights, damage, etc. In instances where cruisins have worked before in Cincinnati for a short time the forum would have a events team and they would seek out a place and have people pay to get in. The money went to the police hired to be at the event to make sure no drugs/alcohol was being used. Break up fights and keep people from doing burnouts. The rest of the money would go to the place letting them use their lot for any sort of damage that would happen if it happened. I can't remember how much it cost but it was between $2 to $5. You just have to hope for a lot of people to show up to take care of charges. Which may have been its downfall. Typically an automotive related place would be the place that would allow them to use the lot. We had it at the old Ford plant that was shutdown. Im sure the dragstrip off of I70 (cant remember name) might be willing to do something or even Quaker State. Maybe a tuning shop if they have a big enough parking lot. Jegs maybe. Just my two cents.

Don't even waste your time. Ive gone to the show a few times. Every year Ive gone back it has gotten worse. They keep getting kick out of fair grounds because they just trash the place. Very trashy show that attracts people who have the tackiest cars. Ive gone to that show a few times and every time one of the cars in our group gets vandalize or we end up getting in a fight. Most of the girls are too young and if you touch them with a ten foot pole you would end up with all the dirty little bugs they have. Im actually surprised this show is still going on. Oh and if you go watch out for Buckshot...

Ah thats no fun. I take it there is nothing out. When I have time I guess I will have to look through all my magazines and show you guys what was forecasted.

All these mustang owners and nobody knows anything?

Last friday at work in Mt. Vernon I saw a brand new Mustang Boss 302 in Red get sideways. To say the least it caught my attention! I remember reading in the ampersand at one time in my Road&Track magazine was that Ford was going to come out with the Boss 302 and the Mach I in the latest Body style Mustang to compete with the upcoming Camaro and Challenger. I wasn't aware that the Boss was already out and when I was trying to look up the cars specs/price/options I couldn't find anything. I couldn't even find any information on the new Mach I supposing to come out. Ive always loved the previous Mach I in the past. Im starting to wonder if the red Boss I saw friday was a fake. Do any of you guys know it these two cars are coming out and where I can find some info on them? I wouldn't mind getting a Mach I if it is coming out soon, because Im due for a new car in a year or so! Thanks in advance

^Yeah Ive read some good reviews on Toyo's. I think I have it narrowed down to Toyos or Falkens. Ive already ruled out the Pilots because shops are quoting $250 and up for them. I will probably go with what I can get the best price on either the Toyos or the Falkens. Tirediscounters is offering a free alingment with the usual when you buy 4 tires from them. I kindof want to get another alignment with the 18's and new tires on the car just to make sure I dont have that bad wear issue again. So far all the other places are offering to check the alignment but will make you pay more if they have to make any adjustments. Well see though

What do you mean? I had the shop that mounted and balanced the tires check the alignment and everything was within the car's spec. It does look like a camber issue, but when I put on my stock wheels for this winter the problem did not continue. I have no irregular wear issues and no adjustments were made to the car. Where do you work? Can you PM me a price on those falkens for a 225/40/18 tire size?

Hey just the thread I was looking for! Im also looking for suggestions on tires this summer. I have two sets of wheels. I run my stockies with all seasons for the winter and then I have some 18's for the summer. I had Kumho Ecsta SPT's for two summers and they are already shot. The first summer I had no problems. This past summer (the second one) they wore uneven and bulged. It wasn't a tire pressure, balancing, or alignment issue either. I had it all checked. So im pretty convinced the tires just sucked. Any way just looking for something better to try. Im looking to spend in the range of $150 a tire. I heard plenty of good reviews on Toyo, Michelin, and Falken tires. Im leaning more towards these brands right now. I would love Michelin Pilot sports but they cost too much. I just wonder how well Toyo Proxes grip because the tread grooves seem a bit wide. I just bought a TRD ground effect kit for my car. Since Im new to Columbus and don't know the area at all meaning I have no clue were anything is or what places are good and bad. Can you guys suggest a good body shop so I can get the kit repainted? If possible I would prefer to find a place in the New Albany/Westerville area since that is where I live and it would be hard for me to get to a shop across town during regular business hours. I work at Rolls Royce in Mt. Vernon so if you guys know of any good places out there that would be even better for me. I want a place that is willing to sand down the old paint and reprime it before painting and clear coating it. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. As stated they don't make them anymore. Therefore they are somewhat hard to find. Check out solaraguy.com members post them up for sale quite frequently in the range of $1500. Just make sure you are getting all the parts required as sometimes people just sell the supercharger itself. It would definatly make your daily commute a bit more fun!

Im impressed with the Browns as well. I really like that Edwards dude! If the Bengals can't have it I hope the Browns can take it from the Steelers. By the way, Bill Cowher will probably take over head coach in the future and then the Browns may become a different team. That has always been his dream team. and Kudos to the Bengals tonight! The defense just has force many turnovers and help keep the Pats offense off the field and we may have a shot!

Defense was better this week. The Seahawks are a better team than Cleveland and they didn't let 51 points slip by. They just had like 6 penelties called on them in just the first half which they gave up 35yards on that. Plus there were too many turnovers overall. The Bengals usually don't have too many turnovers. I will admit they defiantly aren't the same as two years ago. Pitsburgh is off to a better start this year than last year, but as I keep mentioning they have not played any challenging teams yet. So until then they have not proven to me that they are better. Granted we did take a upsetting lost to one easy team, which does put Pitsburg ahead. But time will tell. We'll talk after they play the Pats., Seahawks, and I'm sure there will be some upset somewhere in that mix too. And of coarse we wont really know until we play each other!

That was just one game our defense wasn't in existence, we'll bring ours for the rest. Yeah I am a bit worried about the NE game. But you never know what can happen. Thats why I love NFL ball, anybody can win. Every part of the team has to work together well to win games. And you play the Pats too. Your gonna need luck for that one too.

Marvin is doing just fine. The players just need to not cause too many penalties and create less turnovers and well be fine. Even though we just lost to the seahawks, we played them alright which makes me a bit more confident again. Im glad to see that there are a lot of Bengals fans in Columbus. Your welcome to come over to my place and watch the games! And just to fuel the whole bengals/steelers debate. All you steelers fans have it easy in the beginning this year. We are all playing the same teams but you play the harder teams in the end. You will probably lose to Seattle, Denver, and New England and possibly Jacksonville. And dont under estimate cleveland. You dont know what your talking about. Lewis is NOT a horrible coach. He is probably the second best right now after Dungy. If it weren't for him the Bengals would be in another city now. He has turned the program around for the team and city. They would not have been were they are at now if they ^didn't have him. I agree that the defense didn't have it together last week. But Lewis will whip them back into shape. Thats sports though, you win some and you lose some. Cleveland was playing just as bad, it just happened that they had a few better breaks than we did. Im a huge bengals fan being that I just moved from Cincy to cbus 3 months ago and Im not a big fan of the who dey chant. But it started a long time ago when they were playing the Saints. Saints fans would chant Who Dat! And in response Bengals fans started chanting Who Dey think gonna beat them Bengals! And there is a song that was created too. It just sortof stuck around. And as far as the Cowboys go I believe they are the strongest NFC team so far this year. They are defiantly on fire. But you never know things change so fast in pro ball.
