  1. Found the tires thanks to Hoosier. Btw, if you all want to have a CR day in late July or August feel free to contact me
  2. Its at 33 & Hamilton at the putt putt course/driving range. I should have it open in the next couple of weeks if I can get the stumps and trees cut down...stupid chainsaw. After that it's just concrete drilling and an inspection. I can do a CR day once it's setup. The karts are pretty fast so it should be perfect for CR members
  3. I tried CMS and some local race teams but didn't have any luck.
  4. Hi, I am using Nascar slicks as a barrier system for a go kart track and need another 50-55 to complete the track. The ones I have now are Goodyear Eagles but I will take any slicks available. I need them asap and I am willing to pick them up this week. Any help is appreciated.
  5. I see your point and I guess I shouldn't have specified 15.7:1. I should have said lean it out more at cruise. I did it using a Motec and Autronic stand-alone on the class cars, which were basically unmodified 4 cyl n/a vehicles.
  6. Nate, you are correct. We were playing around and tuning for fuel efficiency only at cruise and light loads.
  7. RL, I had no problems tuning for 15:7:1 on a dyno and there was no driveability issues at all. It was tuned in real-time though.
  8. You probably know this but I just wanted to add something. When the oem's run 14.7 at cruise, it's because they only care about emissions and not fuel economy. You can run it a little leaner and will see a gain in fuel economy and still be safe.
  9. Right, you want it to run above stoichiometric for better fuel economy.
  10. If you were to tune the car on 87 octane but keep the same a/f numbers that you currently use, you would see a decrease in horsepower and you wouldn't gain any gas mileage. To get better gas mileage, you would want to tune your cruising map to an a/f ratio around 15.7:1. You would be able to use any octane gas and see better fule mileage results.
  11. Flippy, if the above law is correct and it's + or - 3% then you are still legal and the cop can't complain. I would tint my windows but they might think i'm a ricer and pull me over for fun.
  12. Not a big fan of Jegs call center. Had friends who worked there that said they ran it like the Nazi's. My friend's boss even gave the guy a cup to urinate in so he didn't have to leave the phones. It was meant as a joke but didn't go over well. It sounded like the corporate piece is okay but since they never called me after I applied for a job they can kiss it.
  13. I've used a DynaPak and a Dyno Dynamics dyno. They were both really nice but it's a pain to hook up a car quickly on the DynaPak. The load control was easier to use with the Dyno Dynamics dyno. I'm looking to purchase a Dyno Dynamics dyno but there is getting to be too many dyno's in the area. Anyone need a tuner? I graduated from EFI University on 9/21/07 and have my High Performance Tuner Certificate.
  14. I have a 98 H22A4 block and crankshaft for sale. The block has already been machined and is ready to be used. The block will include the oil pan, pump, main seal, and oil squirters. It does not come with bearings, rods, or pistons. I originally bought this to swap into my 96 Prelude but decided to sell the car instead. Block $450 OBO Crank $125 OBO Need to sell immediately. Will ship anywhere.
  15. Hello, I recently graduated from EFI101's ACP class and I am looking for work tuning cars. I received a Certificate and can build base maps and operate a dyno. I've tuned a 99 Civic using a standalone Autronic on a DynaPack and a BMW 318 Coupe running a Motec on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. I have an entreprenurial spirit and ran a business selling automotive parts for 5 years. I have done sales, attended trade shows, developed marketing material, the accounting, and built a website with thousands of parts. Basically, everything that comes with running your own business. Currently, I work full-time as a Business Analyst in the Financial Industry where I have 10 years of customer service, client relationship, and technical experience. I also worked in the Restaurant Industry and worked my way up to managing a restaurant with 50+ employees. I've had a track record of success and I expect to do the same as a tuner.
