    Buy your self a nice eaton posi. If you can manage it with the cam you have, I'd run a very tight converter in the 2500 range.

    It gets so god awful expensive to build a 4l60/4l60e. If overdrive is a must, I'd invest my money into a 4l80e.

    Will as soon as I can haha. My laptop isnt installing the fastboot files,so that I can do a perm root. I want to ROM it as well, as I've never had a ROMed phone.

    Actually the 4l60 is horribly inefficient. Takse 75hp to run it. Where as the TH400 takes 45 to run. 4l60/e/700s really dont like have a brake in them. Talked with several high end tranny builders about putting on in the s10 and they advised against it.

    Not worth the money IMO. You can get a 4wd s10/noma for the same money with way fewer miles.

    Well with what you want to spend and if you have time to look around, you can find some clean 1st gens. Maybe I'm biased, but I prefer the 1st gen look. If you're dead set on a 2nd gen, do yourself a favor and get a 98 or newer. The 94-97 front ends are pretty ugly.

    s10/noma with a 4.3 is the best way to go. 2.2 was designed for fwd cars and should have stayed there. I get 24mpg in 92 s10 with the 4.3. 4.3s are actually rather fun in these trucks and respond well to mods. As well 4.3s are about bullet proof.

    I've had my evo since last october so I'm just debating on whether or not to keep it or get something new.
