  1. Finals of National poetry had arrived. 2 contestants were left, one from Harvard University, one a redneck from Dimville, Texas. RUles stated that each was to compose a 4-line poem in one minute or less - the catch? The poem had to use the word "Timbuktu" Harvard Man went first. 30 seconds after the clock started he got up and recited his poem. Slowly across the desert sand Trekked the dusty caravan. Men on camels, two by two Destination -- Timbuktu. The audience went Crazy. How, they wondered could the redneck could top that? The clock started again and the redneck sat in silent thought. Finally, in the last few seconds, he jumped and recited: Tim and me, a-huntin' went... Met three whores in a pop-up tent... They was three, we was two... So I bucked one and Timbuktu...

  3. now this one isnt as funny as the other, but it's still a big oh shit moment
  4. diesel oil no longer has the high zinc levels it once had. In my dads 468 bbc we used lubriplate oil which has lots of zinc already and added a pint of GM eos for more zinc. but i would reccomend just running lubriplate oil, and if you do end up driving it around to break it in, dont be afraid to get on it a little bit and never keep the rpms moving up and down even when going down the road. nickey
  5. Rocky boots ftw, have a set of bear claws that i normally wear, not as much thisulate as you want (180grams) with gortex and put 1000+ miles on them, they have yet to fail me. I'm actually looking to get them resoled instead of buying a new pair lol. Nickey

  12. No it doesn't, was talking with a buddy of mine one night out in garage and we were discussing this and having no tailgate or the tailgate down is better than it being up. But overall a tonneau cover or cap was even better. Now before you going saying he's a dumbshit knows nothing. He been an aerodynamicist for 30+ years, been on several Le Mans and ALMS teams as the track engineer, was also the track engineer for Bobby Rahal when he won his CART championship in 92.
  13. As much as i dislike any ford and loath the focus so much more. I wont lie... i'd rock it around town.
  14. For the s10 i normally put winter tires on it and two sand tubes in the back. Now with the mazda all i have it bags of salt in the back, a clutch is a very helpful torque control device in the snow... and having all of 90-100hp is also helpful.
  15. I'd shit bricks if i randomly saw a spider that big randomly wandering around my house.

  18. If any of you want to drop a crap load of money on a knife there is a guy out of galena that makes super high end knives. Joe Perry (guitarist for aerosmith) carries and uses one of his knives which i think is pretty cool. DRD also uses ball bearings on most of their folded knives which is sweet. Darrel Ralph Designs http://www.darrelralph.com/ Once i deem the need to get another knife this is what i'll be getting. http://www.darrelralph.com/cs/18xrayIItan.html
  19. I have a mantis with a 3" blade that i like to carry most of the time. If i'm at work i have a husky utility knife that i carry. http://www.mantisknives.com/Product%20Zoom/T5%20Monacoe/t5_monacoe.html At the knife factory i bought mine at in tennessee alot of the sales rep there went from carrying spyderco and more expensive knives to carrying the mantis knives.

He used to hold several NHRA records with this car. My dad also used to work up at pacemakers in the late 80's and they had another guy show up with a 67 z28 that raced super stock with a destroked 302. He sat on the line with the throttle pegged, was able to max out a 12.5K rpm Moroso cable drive tach. They guessed he sat right around 14k RPM on the line and it never missed a beat.
