  1. http://www.pacemakersdragway.com/graphics/umtr-logo.jpg Gates open at 12! 1.) MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ONLY. Lencos permitted. Hand/Arm shifted lever(s) only. No air shifters permitted. No clutch activated automatics or Brunos permitted. A U.M.T.R. Official will place a colored sticker in the upper right hand corner of the windshield after the car passes inspection. While in the lanes prior to first round, any car without an official U.M.T.R. inspection sticker will not race. 2.) All cars must leave the starting line with leg released clutch. Shifting without a clutch (clutchless) is permitted. 3. All vehicles must pass Host Track Tech Inspection and U.M.T.R. Device Inspection before any passes are made. No electronics are permitted in either class. No Delay Boxes, Pedal Magnets, Air Release or Hydraulic Clutch Line Lock Systems. Any device not meeting U.M.T.R. Tech Regulations must be disarmed by the car owner and will be sealed by U.M.T.R. staff before any passes will be permitted. The seal must remain on the vehicle/device throughout the event. If any competitor is found to have an illegal device after a U.M.T.R. seal is applied, the penalty will be revocation of U.M.T.R. Membership, forfeiture of accumulated points and the driver will be barred from participating in U.M.T.R. events for the remainder of the season. *** Data acquisition, Rev Limiters and Wheel Line Locks are permitted. *** 4.) Once eliminations start you must drive the same car in all rounds. 5.) All cars competing in U.M.T.R. events must comply with 2012 N.H.R.A. / I.H.R.A. safety requirements. Participating host tracks may require engine diapers. ALL U.M.T.R. drivers must wear helmet regardless of ET. 6.) QUICKSTICK 1/4 mile ET: 7.50-11.99, 1/8 mile: 4.70-7.65 STREETSTICK 1/4 mile ET: 10.50-17.99, 1/8 mile: 6.70-11.50 7.) All participating tracks have strict provisions prohibiting use of alcohol and/or illegal substances by any driver in competition. Any driver violating these rules will be pulled from further competition. 8.) Participants will run on personal dial-in. Dial-in may be changed between rounds. Driver/Crew is responsible to check the dial-in. Once staged, you have accepted the dial-in displayed on track dial-in ET board. 9.) Bracket style eliminations will be used at U.M.T.R. Points Events. Pairings, lane choice and bye runs will be determined by Host Track personnel. ONLY one bye run per car and driver per event. Unless, the final 3 remaining racers have each already had a bye run, then the bye run will be determined by chip or card draw. 10.) A Driver and Crew Meeting will be held at all U.M.T.R. events. The meeting will be held at the U.M.T.R. Event Tent after second time run. All racers and crew are strongly urged to attend. 11.) A Driver/Car Registration form must be completed at the first U.M.T.R event attended and turned in to a U.M.T.R. Official prior to the first time run. 12.) Entry Fees: QuickStick - $60.00 admits car and driver. StreetStick - $35.00 admits car and driver. Crew members will pay the Host Track Spectator price. 13.) Any Question or Complaint must first be brought to the attention of U.M.T.R. Officials ONLY. Do not argue with track personnel for any reason. 14.) Should a rain out occur, U.M.T.R. Officials will discuss the possibility of a rain date/make-up race with the Host Tracks as their schedule permits. 15.) Drivers are encouraged to park together in the U.M.T.R. designated Pit Area. Signs will be posted at each event. 16.) In order to receive ANY contingency awards at the individual race events you MUST be a U.M.T.R. member and it is strongly suggested the car display all vendor decals. Sponsor decals should be visible on both sides of the car (example fenders, doors, quarter panels). Both quarter windows and back window are also acceptable. *** Failure to display the sponsor decals may result in loss of contingency awards. *** 17.) Points a. U.M.T.R. members will earn 5-points for every round in which they compete. Event Winner gets an additional 5 points. b. 2-points will be awarded to any member who BROKE BEFORE first round of Eliminations. Entry money will go toward race purse. c. 1-point will be awarded for the best reaction time during eliminations per class. d. Rainouts: If the host track calls a rainout before eliminations 2 points will be awarded. e. A rainout during eliminations, points will be awarded for completed rounds only. No points will be awarded for partial rounds. No points will be awarded for future rounds. 18.) Any stick shift car is welcome to participate in any U.M.T.R. event. However, to accumulate points (described in #18 above) or collect Bounty, Clutch Artist, Low Qualifier awards, you must be a member. The Membership Fee is $40.00 per class. To compete for points in BOTH classes you must pay TWO membership fees. 19.) Each U.M.T.R. Chapter will have its own Points Champions. Points toward the Championships will only be earned in the chapter to which you are a member. Any driver can belong to more than one U.M.T.R Chapter during the same season. 20.) Every race will be a points race. The Thompson Gear Jammer's Bash will be DOUBLE POINTS race. The Edgewater Stick Shift Nationals is NOT a points race for the UMTR North chapter.

There will be no cross filling of fields (no door cars in dragster class and vice versa). 1 Car/1 Driver. There will be 2 qualifying runs. 1st Pass 3:30 pm 2nd Pass 5:00 pm , Eliminations @ 6:30 Sharp The times for qualifying and eliminations for Sharx Quick 32 take priority over all other classes Competitors must pay entry fee at gate and have tech card submitted to the tower prior to first qualifying pass. You do not have to make both qualifying passes. If paid entries are not full after first qualifying round, then exception will be made to allow further entries. However; entries will only be accepted until field is full and will not bump out previously entered competitors (those that had paid at gate). NO REFUNDS FOR BROKE CARS AFTER QUALIFYING STARTS. Non qualifiers can enter in Super Pro at no additional charge. Qualifiers can also enter Super Pro/Box for an additional charge. DIALS INS Racers may change dial ins between rounds but may not dial any slower than one tenth of their best qualifying round. PAIRINGS AND LANE CHOICE Sportsman Ladder. All rounds SUBSTITUTION OF CAR AND DRIVER There will be no substitution of car after qualifying. Car you qualify with must be the car you use in eliminations. CLASS CALLS All racers must come to staging lanes when called in a timely manner. Racer will be responsible to check the days race schedule for qualifying and elimination times. Competitors that are experiencing correctable difficulties that will be repaired in a timely manner please inform head of staging and every effort will be made to accommodate the competitor. This applies to elimination rounds only. Race management will take into consideration those racers that are competing in other classes. POINTS Points will be awarded as follows: 10 points to stage first round 10 points for every round won 1 points to runner-up (run-off) 2 points to final round winner (run-off) In the event of an end of season points tie, tie breaker will be first determined by which competitor won the most events. If additional tie breaker is needed, next determining factor will be which competitor won most head to head rounds. STAGING PROCEDURE Burn-outs across the starting line will be permitted for both the open wheel and door car fields. All competitors must then back up and completely clear both staging beams prior to staging. Staging will be in a forward motion. Any competitor not abiding by this rule will be asked by the starter to back up and re-stage, if they fail to comply, they will be disqualified. Auto start will be used in Quick 32 after both cars have pre-staged and one stage light is lit. Opponent has 10 seconds to stage, car must be fully staged to stop timer. We do not have stage lock. Flickering of bulbs will not stop timers. COURTESY STAGING IS MANDATORY Your safety is important to us. All NHRA safety rules apply to car and driver. NHRA rules state that cars running 6.39 to 4.50 front engine, open bodied vehicles (or closed-bodied without an OEM or .024 inch steel firewall) with nitrous oxide, supercharged, or turbocharged: Must wear jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/15, gloves, and shoes meeting SFI spec 3.3/5
