  1. I think you forgot it's a car, let alone a FOCUS, let alone an AWD FOCUS.

Cars are meant to be driven.

Everything I have and will ever own will be driven in all seasons...

    I didn't forget, I'm just pissed I don't have a 40k winter beater.

Come on Kelso, rack up another burn. :p

  2. Not sure if serious, or hit head hard enough to become retarded.

    Fixed for you Jones. :p

I mean. Maybe its a price point thing. Maybe I'm just poor, but I would be pissed if someone wrecked my shit and I had to keep a car that someone else ruined for me.

Nah, I just forgot what CR really is. Feels good though.

  3. I think a lot of you guys are missing the point of the RS when comparing it to a Mustang GT350. This is an all-purpose daily driver that can be used at the track on the weekend and then take the owner to work on Monday. Plus, you'll have your AWD to contend with the snow that will be coming in a few months. It's going to be the commuter that hauls ass, like an STI or a Golf R. I doubt you'll see many GT350s, or even GTs for that matter, sitting in rush hour on 270 when it's snowing.

Only a potato would take their 40k Focus out for snowy/icy winter traffic in Columbus.

Also, At what power level does the AWD system become equally sketchy in snow? Yah yah yah, AWD is the king dick of snow driving. If you don't drive responsibly, it will just be that much more dangerous. Just sayin, when all 4 wheels are spinning, you change lanes that much quicker.

  4. Agreed, which head is this ticking noise coming from? I am assuming it is a 3.2, I've seen a couple of them have a spark plug back out of the head and tear the coil and plug itself up. Unplug each coil and see which one makes the least difference in how the car runs.
  5. That sucks, but even little things can cause huge impacts on carfax. When I was selling my camaro, the buyer asked me why there was a mileage discrepancy. Turns out when I had you align it, it was reported at like 118k on the odometer. Years later it only had 116,8xx when I sold it. :D Sorry that you're having issues though Scott.
  6. I live near Tega Cay, right off the I-77 and Gold Hill Rd exit just south of Charlotte.

Oh neat, I was expecting you to say somewhere further south. I live out just north of 160 out by 521, pretty much Ballantyne/Fort Mill/Indian Land. The only thing I have never liked about Gold Hill is the traffic that backs up during peak hours.

  7. Honestly I use the harbor freight ones or the ones the snap on sockets come in

The harbor freight ones do break over time but they work great.

Wrenches I use Cornwell wrench organizers they slip In and out easier than others I've tried.

+1, my snap on sockets stay in their magnetic bases, sizes I need often get flipped over for easy selecting. Common adapters and sockets without a home go on a strong magnetic strip (kind of strong where you wont get it off a flat magnetic surface without a prybar).

I have been getting a great deal on the magnetic strips that I have, because my snap on dealer has tons of them laying around. They are off their old truck, the strips that hold tools to the ceiling.

I absolutely love my 3/8 impact swivels, select sizes of magnetic sockets and my milwaukee 1/4 inch electric ratchet.

  8. If you think thats bad check out the 08-10 V6 VCM misfire lawsuit... Supposedly fixed for my 2011 but I'm keeping an eye on it.
Did they do a block or rings? Whatever you do, use a old fashioned oil change interval and keep an eye on the oil level. Don't follow maintenance minder oil life percentage.

My mom just had her 2007 civic block replaced for free due to a crack leaking coolant. They fought with her.

Her very next service lindsay honda said she needs

Coolant flush (obviously was just replaced

Valve cover gasket (was just removed to pull head, when I said something the service writer said they removed the engine from the bottom and never removed the valve cover)

Also hit her with a brake fluid flush because it's causing uneven pad wear.

Shit has a floating cylinder head, yo.

  9. Did you see the 500 round test they did with it? They blast through the mag as fast as possible at the end and it looks just like any other gun to me.

No, and to be honest I'm not going to watch it based on the first 5 shots of hand held firing. It's a neat show piece at this point, but who is going to buy a gun that needs firing 500+ times to have a smooth operation.

Now maybe they are trying to prove a point by testing it and braking it in like they have. Maybe they will finesse the parts before retailing them.

You know others were thinking it.
