I love my hex mosin that i picked up from ovo. Just picked up a round reciever mosin in a trade that ibhavent shot yet but, im excited to. I absolutely love these guns. Best bang for the buck ever! Just went to ovo sunday and they didnt have any hex recievers that I saw but, they still have the 199 package deal. And still a bunch of sks with beat to hell stocks for 299, perfect for a tacticool build!

Awhile back I posted looking for a full time sitter for my son. We picked one from reynoldsburg because she was close, cheap, and keeps her kid load small. She has 4 kids, and they are in school most of the day.

 

We made the "contract" 7am-5pm. That way if I had to stay after work, my wife could pick him up.

 

First issue, when I pick him up at 3:30 there are always a ton of different kids. "My kids have friends over after school" she says.

 

2nd issue, since we are technically paying from 7am-5pm, and we pick him up by 3:30. Sometimes I tell my wife, why dont you pick him up so I can work on something or go pick up groceries. Well the sitter flipped out stating the contract is until 3pm, and thats how it needs to stay as she has a family too. Ok, so I pull the contract out of the file and sure enough states 7am-5pm. She said "Well I just wrote down 5pm on accident, if you want to keep him here until 5pm you need to pay extra." Um- no.

 

3rd issue, you cant contact this lady by phone at all. I got called into work one morning for snow removal and called her many times with no answer.

 

And today the final straw. I show up 15-20 minutes early to pick up my son, No one is home? So my wife "Emails" her because she wont answer the phone. She emails back and says she had to run to the store real quick to pick up something. Ok, so I wait. She pulls up and looks guilty as FUK. My son is not with her?? We go inside and one of her young teenager kids is watching my son??

 

Basically there is a "2 week notice" in the contract. What are your thoughts on getting rid of this sitter?

I would never take your child back there again. Pay your 2 weeks and cut your losses. Cant trust a bitch thats leaving your kid with her kids.

That is the only issue I have ever heard of people having with them. I have had my P22 for about 4 years now and love it. Once I found the ammo it likes, I just buy a brick of it and have a blast at the gun range.

 

This is what I came to say. And we've had ours about the same amount of time. But, it got used heavily during CHL training classes for a few months by many students with no issues other than ammo brand.

Are the barrels and actions in decent shape or pretty well beat up? Do they let you hand pick one or do you get what ever they pull out? All 91/30's?

 

and one last question.... Is the ammo FMJ only or do they have soft tipped too?

 

You get to pick out of the open crates but, if the crate is low and there are only crappy ones left, they wont open another crate until the crappy ones sell. Mine is in great overall condition, the stock has a few rough spots but, it fires flawlessly and is pretty damn accurate.

Looking at guns in there just pisses me off, you are dumb to buy a firearm in there

Just stopped by last night. Its pretty damn nice. Im really impressed with what theyve done with it overall. Prices are still a little high but, that shouldnt matter with the price match guarantee. If you havent checked it out, I would recommend waiting a week or so, it was very busy which I assume it will be until the excitement dies down.

Top 2 issues I see through the shop from these trucks are outer tie rod ends and front wheel bearings. Although Ive also noticed that most modern fullsize trucks seem to tear up front wheel bearings regardless of manufacturer. Ive been told that the trans issues were mainly from the earlier 2000's trucks and that the mid- later years were alot better but, like rocky said, most issues are due to lack of maintenance. I plan on picking one of these trucks up myself in the next year or two.

THey have multiple crates of mosin's. I just picked my first one up from them a few months back. About a month or so ago they had a ton of beat up sks's for $299 but, Im sure their all gone by now.

I was wondering what was going on with that.
