  1. Anyone here started their own LLC? I am looking at doing an LLC with partners to enable me to buy NFA items here in Franklin County. I may eventually go ahead and start manufacturing ammo under the LLC (with ATF license) for sale at gun shows. Any insights?
  2. I will say that if you want a decent plinker/trainer that is still reliable, I would look at Del-Ton parts kits + a stripped lower or Double Star parts kits + a stripped lower. I personally like Armalite and AGP Arms stripped lowers, but as long as it is forged, you are G2G. Either of these will be serviceable and probably just as much as you need. Cost should be around ~650 with shipping/FFL fees (for lower). I have a DoubleStar M4 clone that is my trainer and it has well over 5000 rounds of Wolf/Brown Bear/XM193 through it and still chugging along just fine. I am looking at doing a M16A4 clone build on one of the custom run lowers that I am getting in a few weeks and this is my build list: Bravo Company Manuf. A3 upper complete with 20in barrel Standard A2 stock/buffer kit Daniel Defense Lower Parts kit Sights/Glass to be determined later Should run ~800 after shipping plus the cost of lower. Not as inexpensive, but a rifle that you can stake your life on without any bells and whistles. Hope this helps. GL

  4. If you are going with a classic .357, get a Colt Python. They are a thing of beauty. I have a 4in Python if you would like to try, they also come in 6in and 8in. Somewhat hard to find and expensive, but IMHO well worth it. In response to your orginal post, I would go with a long barrelled .44 Mag, and then you can use it on deer too I believe.
  5. I dunno if I still count as a "newb" but nice intro and VERY nice cars. Welcome!
  6. I am disappoint. And I still want to see her nekkid
  7. If you still need one, let me know, I have a few laying around. Colin 614-580-9473
  8. Nice, but those sights weird me out. I'll stick with MBUS and Troy. I shoot Privi M193, fairly cheap, but also nicely powerful and accurate. If I am feeling dirty I'll burn some Wolf :bangbang: I use http://www.ammunitiontogo.com for decent prices, but ARFCOM keeps the most up-to-date list with prices for 5.56
  9. Can we ship NY off too?
  10. A cute one I'll ask the dog whisperer (aka the fiance) when I get home, but I am pretty sure you are on the right track (Bully breed and Beagle, anything more specific is going to be hard to tell).
  11. I've got a couple cheap window A/C units. How big are you looking and how much are you wanting to spend?
  12. Anyone have leads on decent part time work? I am a full-time physical security supervisor, college grad (AA in Criminal Justice), 8+ years of military experience (MP), I have done many types of jobs, mostly customer service/security/bouncer. I can email a resume and many references. Looking for something 16-30 hours a week, after 3pm on weekdays, any time on weekends.
  13. I am a Fusion guy now, we'll see how this holds up. Thanks!
  14. You know, I was thinking that as I posted, but if it will keep my car from getting fucked up in the winter (no garage) I'll live. Besides, I can always pull the stitching .
  15. Do you think the car cover will fit a 2007 Mustang GT? If so, I'll take it.
  16. Mine was broken in when I got it, but just keep working the pistol into and out of the holster. I also use the belt keepers that button to the bottom of the holster and mag pouch to help keep it from moving around as much and to assist in drawing.
  17. Google Dr. Martin Fackler In a defensive use, you need sufficent penetration and wounding abilities. Without a long, drawn out discussion, I believe the minimum penetration you want is 15+ inches to hit something vital, and you want good expansion in hollowpoints to help hit something vital. (I am at work so I can't get to alot of the specifics). Also, each gun shoots better with different loads. More accuracy, better feeding, less muzzle flash, etc. Try a few different loads and see what you like. I don't have a .40 so I can't say specifically, but I like big bullets with good expansion that feed very reliably. I use Speer 230gr GoldDot HP in my .45.
  18. Nice, I've got one for my HK USP45. Can I be Tubbs?

    yo dawg

My fiance is a dog food freak. I am not kidding, she can quote labels from memory. We have fed most of the grain free stuff trying to see what our dogs like. We settled on Taste of the Wild for a good balance between cost/quality for top shelf food. I can shoot you her email if you want (way more than you need) info.
  22. Speaking of heavyweights... I had a good time, lord do I need to work on some form of cardio. I was pretty gassed after 1:30, don't know if I could have gone another 2:00, even after the break. It was fun to meet you guys, and listen to Hwilli bitch about his nose I would be down if it happens again, maybe I will try to get into some form of shape other than round
  23. I am still looking at getting there around 7:45-8:00 after work. I should be laying on a mat in less than 4 hours woo hoo!
