  1. Yep that's me. It's going to get a bit louder in a few weeks when I install some headers.
  2. hey, looks like we are neighbors (the vistas).
  3. Got the other one out and she is running strong. . Now I can focus my attention on getting some mods done before spring track day.
  4. Got one of the plugs out tonight. Got a little late so we are going to tackle the other tomorrow. Some pics: 1. 6. These are the two tools I purchased. for the shield: http://www.denlorstools.com/home/dt1/page_16154_125/calvan_cal_39100_ford_spark_plug_extractor_special.html for the porcelain: http://www.denlorstools.com/home/dt1/page_17940_174/calvan_ford_spark_plug_broken_porcelain_remover_ca.html
  7. I ordered two tools. One is for removing the porcelain, and the other for tapping and removing the sleeve. There is a little rubber stop that goes into the sleeve before you tap it to catch any metal shavings, but I am a bit nervous about the porcelain part. I have got some small tubing I am going to rig up to a shop vac to make sure nothing is left in there. If I miss so much of a spec of that porcelain....I don't want to even think about that. I am probably nuts for even trying to this myself.
  8. No, those were the originals. Book says change at 90k, thought I was getting a jump on it.
  9. I had the motor up to temp, then let it cool until it was just warm. Then I let some penetrating oil soak for 30+min and they still fucking broke.
  10. Ordered it last night, probably won't get it until later in the week since they only had UPS ground as a shipping option.
  11. Who makes a two piece spark plug, puts no anti-sieze around it and thinks that everything is going to be fine when you try to take them out? I broke two plugs yesterday and the bottom collar section is still stuck in the engine. I come to find out that this is such a big issue that there is a TSB about it, and Ford even designed a special tool to remove the broken part.

    Dream

No, but I do respect them as a machine. Would not mind having that drivetrain in my cars body. They should have just left the Holden body kit on it. Looks better imo.

    Dream

I had a dream last night that I traded the Mustang for a black LS2 GTO last night....what a terrifying nightmare.
  14. Will there be a "slow" section to said bracket?
  15. I'll would give the performance edge to the GTO, but I could not live with the bland styling.
  16. I actually looked at those when I was shopping around for a couple years ago, but settled on the mustang. They are nice cars indeed.
  17. Yeah, I am definitely not buying one just to save miles. Fuel economy, style, performance are all considerations as well.
  18. Why not? I love my mustang and don't want to drive it into the ground. Plus I would then have a car that can actually turn.
  19. I was looking around online today and the cheapest '06 I could find with decent mileage was about $16k. They definitely not a lot of bargains out there.
  20. I know the power is not awesome, but thats why I have the mustang. I just want something thats gets decent mpg and is fun to drive.
  21. No, but I already got 80k on it and at the rate I'm going it will have 140k by the time I pay it off. I am not planning on selling it right now, but if I do I don't want it to be worth crap due to mileage.
  22. I was looking to get a daily driver to reduce the miles I'm racking up on the mustang. I am thinking a Mini Cooper S (thinking 2006 supercharged version) would be fun to drive and get great gas mileage. Maybe do some autox with it. Anyone have some first hand experience with these? Any reliability issues? Oh, and flame away if you must. Scott
