I'm trying to talk the girl in to driving me there. Either way I'll be there though.

It's the interweb. It doesn't have to make sense. http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/images/smilies/smiles2/banana.gif

Best 2008/2009 AWD car for $70,000?
The Civic replied to TheBussman1647545507's topic in Passing Lane
My vote would be the Audi S6. It's base is a little bit over the budget ($72k) but it's quick and comfortable. If he doesn't mind giving up a little bit of the comfort factor he could go to the smaller RS4 which comes in at $67k and is a little bit quicker since it's smaller. Both very fun IMO -

I'll ask some of the techs in the MT Carmel system since I'm their MRI repair guy. -
I'm down like a clown Charlie Broooowwwwwwn.

If you come out look for a guy wearing a Milwaukee Brewers hat. Especially since I'm already here

By the looks of the weather maps this shit is already over half way done. There might still be time to save it.

I might be able to swing up for a bit. All depends on work

Omni GLHS (Goes Like Hell Squared) Charger GLHS (see above) Daytona Shelby Z Probe Turbo Lebaron Turbo Now that I've named some of the worst turbo cars made (other than the Omni), maybe something newer might fit your tastes. Acura RDX?

Next update. I just picked up the Civic's replacement. A '07 BMW M Coupe. Pictures will be coming up this weekend.

Welcome to CR. Sounds like there's more and more people showing up in the Picktown area. We'll have to set up a local meet at Wings to Go or something. Ken

Is it still down in Pick town? I think I saw it with the bumper off in a driveway not too far from my house. If it's still down here and you're going to be working on it this weekend let me know. I can swing by and lend a hand. Ken

I just wanted to let everyone know that if you see the Civic on the road it's not me. I just sold her over the weekend and I'm pretty sure that the new owner of her will be trying to race a bit. Keep your eyes peeled for the scooter and the Charger though Ken

Charger has been getting 21-22 city and about 24-27 highway. Civic is about 16-18 city and 29-31 highway. Vento Phantom R4i 150cc scooter gets about 75-80 and can't go on the highway.

I've had a couple issues with my charger that Caldwell had no idea how to fix. They had the car for a couple weeks total and never got it fixed. They also would not give me any kind of break on a rental either. Call up Crown Chrysler Jeep in Dublin. That's where I took my car after Caldwell literally gave up. They were very helpful and did everything they could to at least keep me satisfied while they were working on it. Ken

I would do everything in my power to jam it in her pooper... That is if I was single.

Since you've eliminated the RCAs as a possible cause the next thing I would do is eliminate the amp. Do you know anyone who has one sitting around that you could borrow for a day? If so put theirs in and see what happens. It sounds like that is the most likely culprit at the moment. What you described sounds like there is feedback coming out of the RCA inputs on the amp. If that's the case you'll have to send it back because the power supply in it is not regulated right. The next step would be to try another deck for a day. If that doesn't work out I have some questions that will help figure it out: - What are you hooking the amp up to? The subs I'm guessing - Is it a 1, 2 or 4 channel amp? - Are you running it normal or bridged? - What ohm load are the speakers that you're hooking up to? Single voice coil or dual voice coil? - What is the preout voltage from your deck? Ken
-
Thanks It only took me 28 years to figure it out.

Man, that's horrible. I'll keep my eyes out for any Syclones around town. I've lived in C-bus for about 2 years myself and have only seen 2 on the road. They're pretty easy to spot. On a friendlier note... Welcome to CR. I'm new here myself but it's been nice so far. Ken

The car is just a couple miles north of Nelsonville which puts it about 25-30 miles south of Lancaster. I actually couldn't resist and went back out there last night. The catch is that it's got a salvage title. I drove it and she runs great. No pull and everything seems to be working fine. The only things wrong with it are that there is an aftermarket steering wheel, the back plastic window needs to be replaced and the traction control doesn't work. The guy has got the stock steering wheel but the airbag is blown out of it. Appearance wise there are a couple of panels that don't line up absolutely perfect but it's really hard to tell and one of the rims has chipping clearcoat. Ken

Yes usually they're overpriced but the sign on this one was asking for $15k and it's only got 39k miles. Not too bad considering that Miata's from the same year are almost that and the BMX has got a bit more power. Speed wise even this year isn't too bad. It'll outrun my Charger R/T Ken
