crap. well thanks man. the only thing thats weird about it is though, the part number on the converter matches the one on jegs web site, and it comes up with an 80-92 AOD converter and say's it wont fit AODE trannies

its used, got it off of a guy on ebay that said it was for an 82-92 AOD

its just a small square/rectangular one that say's automatic overdrive metric on the bottom

My dad just bought an older B&M hole shot torque converter for the mustang. Problem is, it wont fit. The torque converter that was in it only has 2 different sets of spline's (i think is the word), and the new one has 3. Could this be the reason it wont fit? All converters ive found say for 80-92 AOD trannies, But all we can come up with is it being a lock up/non lock up converter, but dont see how that would keep it from going on.
