    Lower Parts?

White oak armament Edit - that's not local, sorry
  2. That's really what I was wondering about. I'd read a lot about accuracy issues but wondered if it was real or just online hive mind bs
  3. I'm more concerned with the 9mm, thanks though.
  4. How is it? Any real world issues?
  5. But none of those items were designed to be a deadly weapon. Just because they are capable of it doesn't mean that is their primary function. Using that line of thinking every single car on the road is a deadly weapon. Also, Ohio CHL is only for handguns, it doesn't allow carry of any other form of weapon.
  6. Got my Shield. Overall I like it so far. Still waiting on my holsters to show up in the mail. The trigger is gritty through the take up. Not sure if that will work out on its own. It's not very noticeable when actually firing, mostly during dry fire. Loading the mags sucks. The springs are very tight, on the 7 round mag the last round is very difficult to shove in. I put 100 rounds of WWB through it. Ran perfectly. It started to rain part way through so I wasn't worried too much about being accurate, just testing it. I limp wristed as much as I possibly could through one mag to try and force it to jam and it didn't. I also ran 19 rounds on some old HP ammo through it, ran it fine. Huge muzzle flash with that after dark. It handles well, comfortable to shoot, didn't notice any muzzle flip. WAY better to shoot than the .380 mouse guns I've shot.
  7. I ordered a Shield 9mm through Buckeye Outdoors the morning of Wednesday 5/8. Got a call at noon today, Friday 5/10 saying it was in and ready to pick up. So if anyone wants one it would seem that is the way to go. I was expecting it to take weeks, if not months, not two days. I've already got two holsters on order for it, a Desantis Superfly and an N82 Tactical Original. Is there anything else I should get? I plan on putting a couple hundred rounds through it before deciding if I want Apex trigger parts. What about sites? It sounds like the dots fall out of all of them so in the short term I can use white-out on them but I wouldn't mind some sort of night sites since this will be my new carry gun. Any suggestions, without breaking the bank?
  8. I can't find any info on that either way online. Where do you see that? Craftsman branded is still the same no questions asked warranty. Craftsman Evolv line is all made in China, and requires proof of purchase for its lifetime warranty. I have yet to see any Craftsman branded tools as being made in China, just their Evolv line. I will say I do like the Evolv tools, what I have has been great so far. I have a large Craftsman tool set that is ~6 years old and some of the sockets have chipped the finish and one of the ratchets has a terrible action in it, from very light use. I believe they are all US made. So they aren't perfect either but they do work. I have some Craftsman Professional line screwdrivers that are very nice, and US made, and weren't very expensive. I think Craftsman is having to cheapen their lines in order to compete with Harbor Freight. I can't say I've had any tools from there that I would consider nice or quality. Craftsman is not nearly as nice as Snap-On but its also a fraction of the price so I'll stick with them, even their Chinese made tools so long as they continue to be the quality they are now. I'm still getting what I expect to get for the money I'm spending.
  9. Craftsman has been blowing out their tools lately, keep an eye on Slickdeals.
  10. http://www.midgettrealty.com/ Rent a beach house. They often have last minute deals. You may try calling them and asking. It's a 12 hour drive so your travel expense is only gas. Or you could fly into Virginia Beach or Raleigh and rent a car the rest of the way, but either way you still have a couple hour drive. Rent on Hatteras Island, in Rodanthe or Waves or Salvo or Avon to get a cheaper place, no traffic, very small number of people. Nice and secluded and quiet. Also spotty cell service. There are grocerys so you can stock up the fridge in the house and cook at home, or drive north or south a half hour and hit a ton of restaurants. EDIT: Specials are here: http://www.midgettrealty.com/search/specials The first listing is available next week for under a grand...
  11. I have empty 8mm Mauser stripper clips laying around that I could fill up with new factory 8mm ammo. She's still dumb.
  12. He should start his own cycling organization here. Make it a part of his Livestrong foundation, and make everyone else look like assholes
  13. What about getting a motorcycle starter rebuilt? The starter on my bike does nothing when I turn the key, I can just hear the solenoid click, which is separate from the starter itself.
