Where can you take build classes? Do they walk you through through the process?

I have wanted a 1911 for a long time and thought it might be cool to build one. I don't have any experience other than taking my guns apart and putting them back together. Any ideas on a good kit to get or is this just a bad idea?

Thanks Clay and Doc for the kind words. Certainly means a lot to us as a shop, and myself personally. Tim, it turned out to be a faulty coolant temp sensor that was reading -41*C. Thus the fuel injection maps were adjusted to an extreme that made the car near impossible to start. The smoke was rich/fuel burn off, it smelled like pure fuel at start up.

I think stacks are ricey as well. Why cut holes in a perfectly good bed? Dad looked at a couple diesels that had holes for stacks and walked as a result lol. Crossle
