Where can you take build classes? Do they walk you through through the process?

I have wanted a 1911 for a long time and thought it might be cool to build one. I don't have any experience other than taking my guns apart and putting them back together. Any ideas on a good kit to get or is this just a bad idea?

Thanks Clay and Doc for the kind words. Certainly means a lot to us as a shop, and myself personally.
Tim, it turned out to be a faulty coolant temp sensor that was reading -41*C. Thus the fuel injection maps were adjusted to an extreme that made the car near impossible to start. The smoke was rich/fuel burn off, it smelled like pure fuel at start up.

Jay at tattoos on high did all of mine. The shop is super chill and the guys are all great artist. Kinda pricey but worth it!

I think stacks are ricey as well. Why cut holes in a perfectly good bed? Dad looked at a couple diesels that had holes for stacks and walked as a result lol.
