qtr pndr use to be a good friend of mines OH plate a few years ago on his '90 gt 331 twin turbo car. He was almost finished with the build up of the car when he passed away about 2 1/2 years ago now. His wife is finally selling it...it's listed on racing junk now.

my best of the day was a 10.17 at 133 with a personal best 1.40 60'...was my last pass of the day after the 2 hour track cleanup/prep. I had pulled some timing out of my normal 175 shot tuneup to kill a bit of power. Then go figure..it dead hooks...wish someone would have gotten a good pic of my launch..it yanked the tires pretty good.
If you have the car back and do your test passes at the track rental day at NT on the 24th...I and another guy that will be there have our NHRA licenses. I'm sure we can sign off on your paperwork also. I like mrtbolt64 said...make sure you have all your safety gear (properly rated jacket/pants, neck collar, gloves, window net) and your chassis cert.
Looks like there will be very few or no track rentals this year with their new prices:eek: I guess they really just don't want to work on Sundays.
The guys on daytonstangboard.com were looking to do a track rental day there this season...this was pricing they got.

Did anyone happen to get any video of my red mustang coupe? I ran my first 9 second passes at the track day at Kilkare and would love to see video of it. My email is Jeff88coupe@fuse.net
I had a good day at the track yesterday. Ran 2 new personal bests...and my first 9 second pass.
Ran a new best on motor of a 10.99 at 122.9 with a 1.57 60'
With a 175 shot it went a best of 9.92 at 136.8 with a 1.44 60' (6.35 at 110.5 in the 1/8)
Ran 4 other 9 sec passes (.95/.96/.99/.99) playing around some with the suspension and timing a bit.
I think there is still a bit more to find in the car..I feel it should 60' a bit faster. I really think it would pickup with a converter that's a few hundred rpm looser.
Did anyone happen to get any video or pictures of any of my 9 second passes?
Thanks guys for all the work. I've been involved with a few track rental days..I know there is alot of behind the scene work to make a successfull day.
I'm seriously going to try to make it Sunday. I've always wanted to run my car at Kilkare...but have never been able to make it up there for their regular Thursday night t&t.
Is it to late to use the paypal payment method? Or can I just pay cash at the gate?
I run E85 in my coupe (10.8:1 347)..had it tuned earlier this summer by Ron and Don Lasota. I could careless about the mpg loss from running it. I run it since it's 105 octane. I now don't have to find 110+ race gas to mix in with pump 93 when I run nitrous. If you have a engine combo (boost/nitrous/compression) that need or can take advantage (ie run more timing) of higher octane fuel...then it makes sense to run it to me. My combo picked up 10rwhp by just switching from pump 93 to e85...didn't even add any more timing vs my pump gas tune. Check out http://www.e85performance.net/forums/index.php and http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php for more E85 tech info. Lot's of guys out there running it now making 1K+HP.
Hello,
My name is Jeff...I go by Jeff88coupe on almost all the forums I'm on. I live in Independence,KY which is just south of cincy. I have a red '88 mustang lx coupe that I drag race. It is setup for street/strip..but more toward strip. I have set it up to compete in classes like NMRA's wild street....goal is to have a 9 second average. I have know Rob and Don Lasota for ~7-8 years. I just had them do the tune on my coupe so I can run it on E85. Here are a few pic's of it.
