  1. +1 White elephant exchanges are about joke/cheap gifts.
  2. Craftsman has a 309 pc kit usually on sale for $199. I got one of the few left over American made sets. Not bad for the money. I have since added a few harbor freight Pittsburgh pro (Taiwanese) ratchets. And I feel the the Pittsburgh pro ratchets are good for the price.
  3. That's how it is for anyone. All the new stock is Chinese. If you want an American then it's a refurb. All the stores do this.
  4. Also I've heard that the kobalt and cheaper models with the lasers are off both a couple degrees or 1/8" and it depends on the model so can be adjusted and some cannot.
  5. I do a lot of wood working and I bought a dewalt 12" non sliding. The miter and bevel cuts have been spot on. If I have to cut wider than that, that's when the circular saw or band saw is used.

    UA local 189

Anyone work there or know someone that does? I need some enlightenment.
  7. If he wants to tig why is everyone saying mig welding. Fuck arc would be a better substitute than mig.
  8. +1 about that article Yes some tools aren't the best deal but there are a lot great deals to be had. It's just like anything else you have to know what your buying.
  9. On going in for a ht receiver that I've been eyeing for months and its discounted decently. This is the only thing I will purchase. I've gone years in the past And the long lines and massive amount of people is stupid to deal with.
  10. Torque wrenches are 9.99 with a coupon. I have a diesel power at home with the coupon code. I can post it here if its not already online somewhere. No everyone makes the kind of money you do. Sometime you have to be frugal.
  11. Pittsburgh Pro line stuff is better than the new Chinese craftsman stuff. But yes probably 80% of the stuff they carry is throw away.
  12. +1 on the compression stockings
  13. Most large hospitals don't allow that unless you work on a floor like maternity or private doctors office. Staff scrubs are color coded.
  14. There are 220v extension cords.
  15. I might also add a 20% duty cycle is horrible. Yes a lot of lower end and entry level tigs will have that same rating. But the difference is a good welder should be able to run past it's duty cycle and the harbor freight I would assume cannot. When our 350 and 400 amp delta welds power supplies are being used I've ran the millermatic 250 (what I recommended earlier) easily past it's duty cycle and continued to weld without stopping at 26v and 650in/m (nearly maxed for hours) Millers rating:300 amp @ 40% duty cycle 200 amp @ 60% duty cycle
  16. No avoid that piece like the plague. Also I know of several coupons codes that you could save $50 off that welder. Hobarts 135 is supposed to be decent for the price. If it were me I'd get a used millermatic but that's 3x-4x what that pos harbor freight costs.
  17. So you beat a squid no helmet...should be an easy task for any vehicle.
  18. Home Depot on north Hamilton told me they don't do deals on they're grills. I've seen decent deals at lowes, sears/sears outlet, and auctions.
  19. There have cut down traffic in Gahanna/blacklick
