  1. And some action shots. All I had was one lens and it didn't zoom very far so these aren't the best. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/10.jpg Couple Focus' http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/11.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/12.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/13.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/8.jpg That GT3 on the track http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/9.jpg Overall it was a really fun afternoon. It was pleasantly surprising to see how nice so many of the people are there. Always willing to chat about their cars, give pointers etc.
  2. This was probably the high pojnt of the day. Was walking around and saw a GT3 sitting there. Snapped a few pictures when the owner casually walks up and says "It's open if you wanna have a sit in it." Hoped in it...oh man, just the feel of that car was amazing. The owner was super cool, chatted for bit and he was cool, I asked if I could go for a ride along on his next run and he said I could but he already had someone going. Unfortunately in my excitement I didn't even snap a full exterior pic. Oh well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/GT32.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/GT34.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/GT35.jpg Custom cut wheels, was surprised to hear they were only about $2500. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/GT31.jpg Me in the car, the seats were amazing, the steering felt right where it should be, pedals were perfect, shifter felt amazing. What I wouldn't give to take one for a spin. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/GT33.jpg
  3. This made me LOL http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/Mazda1.jpg Busted control arm courtesy of a wall, also check the two Panoz's in the back ground. The owners were rude as hell though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/Mazda2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/Elise.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/Elise2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/2.jpg Dear jesus if you could hear the sound coming from the green one in the front. Check the guy in the tent behind, this thing was so loud. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/1.jpg
  4. Sorry, I don't actually know what race, series or whatever it was. I heard about it through forum sponsor Capaldi Racing that was going to be there. Me and a friend headed up Saturday mid day-ish. Started pouring soon as we hit the road but thankfully stopped and ended up being a very nice after noon despite getting quite sun burnt on my neck and face :b Pre-production 08 race car, sounded pretty good although they said it wasn't running right. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/08Focus1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/Capaldi1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/SVT1.jpg Was quite surprised to see this there. Read about this awhile back. Full SVT exterior, Baer big brakes and full Cosworth built engine, makes about 200whp. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/SVTWagon1.jpg My car behind. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/SVTwagon3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/SVtwagon2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/Mid%20Ohio/SVT1.jpg
  5. The ZR1 also has nearly 200bhp more and is lighter. I really never understood the comparison between the ZR1 and GTR. The GTR is a competitor for a Z06. The ZR1 is more in a class of Pagani, Ferrari's and Lamborghini's.
  6. Nice! Always liked those. If I was in better financial standing I would get one in a heart beat. Although I would like to find one with the Brembo brakes, I believe it's in their "Touring" package?
  7. Haha I'm just going to drive them for the summer and next spring I;d like to get some good dedicated summer tires. I got the set for $50 for four brand new ones and my Falkens were done for. I've got some winter shoes, Mercury Cougar wheels with Dunlop winter sports that'll end up on around November or so. Till then I just thrash there things. Thanks again to those who have given praise or rep points. And for whoever said they may have seen me. I live up off Summit on OSU area, I go to DeVry so am down that way alot and work in Gahanna and in Granville area...so I donno, I usually am running around that way and my lady friend lives in Galloway. If you do see me, wave me down, yell at me, throw something at me next time
  8. Right behind COSI. They also have a scale that's accurate to 20lbs. Here's my sled, full tank of gas, spare and jack, bike in the back, 2 amps and a 12" in a box. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/b3passatBMX/0817070221.jpg
  9. Thanks! I've always been a fan of OEM+ styling, not over the top but the right subtle mods can go a long ways. Can't complain about the performance of it either. For a reliable DD, it's perfect. My only gripe is about 3 months after I bought the Jackson kit, Procharger released their centrifugal blower that gives a good bit higher gains AND is intercooled which mine is not . There are guys on the Focus boards running 12psi making 280whp/250wtq out of them.
  10. Interesting. I'm curious to see if they go through with this on time/at all. Be a good step in the right direction if they can pull it off.
  11. Actually. The SVT header was designed by Cosworth, it flows better than I believe every aftermarket option available. Although a cat delete or high flow cat is in the plans. They were out of stock when I ordered my new brakes or I would have got one. They are supposedly good for 7whp/9wtq on a stock one so hopefully I would net some even better increases.
  12. That was meant more as sarcasm..lol. My bad. Thanks guys. As far as numbers, I don't know that exact amount. When I had it installed a few years ago, it made 189whp and 160w/tq at 5psi. Now I have the Ford Racing boost upgrade and a custom tune from LaSota Racing, should be around 220whp/180-190wtq. It's far from the fastest thing out there but for a daily it's damn fun car. TO be honest, I've never really run at the track. Guess it never struck my fancy although I am curious what it would run but until I get a new clutch, I can't launch the thing to hard. Was dicking around one day and went to launch and it slipped pretty bad. And to some of the Focus comments, to be honest I was never a big fan of them at all. I was working at a dealership and it came in on trade, drove it once and was hooked. It's such a fun car to drive even stock. I'm still not a huge Focus fan but I love my car. Thanks for the positive comments, I usually get hated on for driving what I do so it's nice to see people outside the Focus community giving praise.
  13. Hey, names Nick Smith. I live on campus area, been meaning to join the site for awhile but never got around to it. Other forums I'm on would be FocusFanatics.com which I moderate on and the thecarlounge.com are the two most frequent. I go to DeVry University in case any other members go there. I work at a bike shop in Gahanna and it pretty much sucks, I also work for RedBull which pretty much rules. Anywho...on with the car. 2002 Sonic Blue SVT Focus, #0024 which means it was one of the first 25 to roll off the line and the guy at SVT said it was the lowest number he's seen.
