Thank you sir. This one has 40k miles, and the 04 has 12k miles. The 04 is actually a lot cleaner. This one does have a couple small chips in the bumper, which kind of drive me nuts. The thing I don't like about 99/01s is that they have the exact same body as a GT aside from the front bumper. Everything else is the same, and can be mistaken for a GT or even a V6 (because they stuck a V6 hood on the 99/01 cobras for some reason) from a quick glance. The 03/04 body has such different features (front bumper, rear bumper, hood, mirrors, side skirts, side vents, spoiler) that they stand out a lot unlike a GT just passing by. To each their own though

No, my Cobras are street cars. If you want a race, I have a racecar.
-
Because 01s are ugly, duh.
-
If a race is what you're after, I'll give you one, I have no problem with that. You can have a lane with my Camaro at the first NO ET in the spring. Just going to warn you though, it's on a 28x10.5 which I'm sure you would consider a pro stock tire.

Someday I hope to own a 80k mile GTO.
-
Lol, that's exactly what I mean. The "it looks great if it's fast but looks gay if it's slow" mentality. The static physical appearance of it isn't going to change whether it runs 10s or 13s, so why would the opinion of how something looks change in your head based on that? Who gives a fuck if it runs 13s or not, it's a cruiser. That was the stance I was going for with the car and I achieved it. If you don't like it, I won't lose any sleep over it, because I'm happy with what I have in my garage. I personally think your knock off CCW wannabe wheels on your GTO look like ass, but I wasn't going to come into a thread you posted about it, giving you my negative feedback. But hey, maybe if it ran 9s they wouldn't look so bad
-
They're both pretty stock. The 04 has a MAC Catback and K&N filter clamped onto the stock piping. Never ran it with the super swapmpers, but on et drags it's been 11.77 @ 116.1 The grey car is NA and has 4.10s and a UPR x pipe. Stock catback, stock intake piping as well, and on the same tires in the pictures (the GINORMOUS 315/35/17 every day driver tires) it went 13.01 @ 107 spinning to a 1.8 sixty. I guess in your opinion, which doesn't matter since they're not your Cobras to worry about, this is a much more appealing look. http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/3765/4581/21912290004_large.jpg?modal

Lmfao, I love that something has to run a certain ET to have a certain wheel or tire on it, cracks me up. That's like saying I hope that thing runs 9s if it doesn't have any catalyst converters in the exhaust. Or when peoples opinions on a physical appearance change based on numbers..like ew that hood looks horrible if it runs 11s, but if it runs 9s it looks badass! Sounds retarded.. But yes, though I do have a purpose built racecar (Camaro) both of my street cars (Cobras) have seen the track as well.

I posted a few pictures of my Terminator, and a couple people mentioned wanting to see my Grey Cobra, so I figured I'd post a few pictures of it that I took today. Please ignore the mile long RC Car antenna. Yes I will be cutting it down tomorrow, yes I will miss getting radio stations from other planets. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7018/6392409781_a4fe229265_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7163/6392537075_46c27c8f94_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7003/6392411427_60a586b705_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7019/6392414319_9b7571eb8d_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7152/6392417581_6d26ba4aec_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7161/6392415927_952700a1d9_b.jpg

Thank you guys! I did some photo's of the grey one today. I can post them too if you guys want to see it.

I've owned Mustangs all of my life. My first car was a 89 GT. I do have a Camaro too, but I like them all. Def never recall any hate for Mustangs.
-
So as long as I run the car on spray and go low 10s it's okay, but when I'm running on motor they're not okay?

Thanks guys! The CCWs are actually off of my grey Cobra. I tossed them on the yellow car without doing ANYTHING to clear for them. In order to fit them without huge spacers, I would need to change the IRS bolts in the rear and do some massaging, which I plan to do this winter, I just didn't care to go through all the work of doing that for the couple times I knew I'd drive the car. This is how they fit with proper clearancing. Flush with the fender, which is the look I was after. I don't like when the tires sit under the wheel wells, IMO it looks like a fat dog with skinny legs, and just looks much more aggressive with a flush to the fenders stance. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5028/5675677073_7fbdf875c4_b.jpg http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4064/4653358215_a1740c0c7b_b.jpg http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4016/4650229746_3fc3908c55_b.jpg I'm not sure if you're familiar with the relation in section width versus sidewall in the role of traction or not, but even if you are, I'll run through it quickly. Given that the tire is 25.8 inches tall with a 18" diameter wheel, there isn't a whole lot of any sidewall there. Add into the fact that the tire is a radial, and not a bias ply construction, that further limits my traction on the street with a stick shift car. You see, a bias ply tire is formed from a much softer sidewall construction than a radial design. The bias ply tire will always take to the initial shock of a stick shift launch much better than that of the stiffer radial tires, especially that of a "low profile" if you will, because most of your traction comes from the "bite" in the sidewall, and not just the contact patch touching the ground. Automatic cars seem to fair much better on a radial tire because they can load the suspension and pre load the tire with foot braking the car. So with that said, even with 14" wide tires on a car that only runs high 11s around 116, they are still very much useless on the street, or with traction at the track. I could only go 1.9 sixties on these tires at the track, which is why I decided to invest in a set of bias ply 26x11.5-17s s and 17" Wedssports for the track. These tires aren't as wide, so maybe you will like them better http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6004/6195959004_d338fb1870_b.jpg

Haven't posted on here in quite some time, so I figured I'd check the place out and see what's new, and share a few pictures of my 04 Cobra. Didn't get to drive it much this year, but plan to do some work to it over the winter. Just turned 12k miles on the last drive. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6111/6228756462_8de7723b61_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6212/6228593688_449f176cb6_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6239/6228413544_441d00f02a_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6158/6228903934_6c48c5dc2e_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6089/6125244539_28a4c8d768_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6193/6102051324_6ebd6856e0_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6071/6090172864_ca58d8b80a_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6210/6090170930_4e9c043351_b.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6175/6228799322_f89f69a5dc_b.jpg And both Cobras getting ready to nap for the winter in the back half of the garage. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6213/6342389560_883896dc76_b.jpg

Thanks man, I took them myself. I shoot with a Nikon D3000, getting a little better. Practice makes perfect, but the locals are getting tired of seeing shots of my own car, I need some more cars to practice on! Hahah, I appreciate it. Seeing it roll down the road as my Dad drove it really put me in perspective as to how big they really are. It looks insane flying down the highway! Thank you guys!
