I got hit with numbers above 4. Yet, not that long ago it tested below 3 consistently over several days. Not saying it isn't a serious concern... but funny how numbers seem to be high all of sudden. Fishy way to generate business.

Hello CR, I wanted to give you all an update on detailing services and my schedule. It has been a bit hectic lately. We were prepping to sell our home over the last several months and about a week ago we sold our house and bought a new one within 24 hours. Therefore I am booked through mid-August at least. If you need a vehicle taken care of sooner please don’t hesitate to contact me or Andy. I can refer you to somebody that does proper, safe work. The last thing I want to see is a car that you care about being dropped off to a shop where a teenage kid with a summer job gets to hack away at your paint. (now maybe my wifes car could go to anybody since there is no way it could get any worse!) The GOOD news is that I will have a new setup soon that will completely rock. (more details on that later.) Whats the true cost of a recall to GM? Is there insurance for this sort of thing?

Rough quote from the guy that I team up with on more serious repaint issues... If the scratch is on the hood roof or deck lid it will be about 300.00 If its on a fender 200.00 if its on a bumper 150.00 and if is on a quarter panel 400.00 That is with full respray/blending. Must be seen in person to give an accurate quote. The guy lives directly across the street from me. He does the paint, I do the finishing down.

crazy bit about the cobalt ignition recall... In 2006, engineers at GM supplier Delphi develop a repair for ignition problems, and GM signs off. But a part number is not changed, considered a "cardinal sin" in the engineering world. That decision may have prevented GM from finding the source of the ignition problem for years.

If budget isn't an issue... some of my favorites with my company have been... Trip with everyone to Chicago, NY, LA, Vegas or Miami see a show, go shopping, cover all expenses for the team, etc. Shopping spree at Easton: Give out cash and you need to spend it all within a set time. Meet back up and have a private dinner and share stories of what you got. Scavenger hunt across town. Big prizes for winners of various legs.. TVs, laptops, jet skis, etc. Team bingo... big prizes make it fun.
