  1. Of coarse I painted them with POR15 to prevent rust. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0848.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0851.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0858.jpg
  2. I installed the sub frame connectors and welded up the torque boxes when I did the 8.8 conversion. Thought some of you would like to see. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0828.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0839.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0844.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0832.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/IMG_0833.jpg
  3. Thanks. Yeah Thompson isn't the greatest, I had to baby it just about all of 1st gear. Hell I think it could go way quicker with some practice. I've only raced it about 6 times in the last 2 years.
  4. Try the simple things first. I would get new plugs and gap them at .030 and see if that helps.
  5. Spark blow out. What are your plugs gapped at? You may need a better ignition if you don't already have it.
  6. I've never used the spray. I only put it on because I had it and figured why not. I'm pretty close to maxed out on my FPDC (80%) as is.
  7. EVIL1

    i broke also

I would take this opportunity and upgrade to 31 spline. I don't have any experience with the Detroit Locker diffs. I use a stock 03-04 cobra 31 spline diff in my cobra and it has been perfect. If you race a lot or with slicks I wouldn't trust it obviously. Now my coupe is a different story. It's not a daily driver so I went with 33 spline Mosers with the Moser light weight Spool and C-Clip eliminators. I got everything for less than $600 shipped from ArtsParts. I still drive it on the street and it works fine... low speed turns cause the tires to chirp but that's it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/1991%20LX%20Coupe/P1000358.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/1991%20LX%20Coupe/P1000575.jpg
  8. Better late than never Love the Sonic Blue.
  9. Yep, you have it. Also have my LDC cooling mod install.
  10. Best numbers for mine was 616 but I've seen em run 10's with much less. Mine even has the spare and jack still in the trunk, the solid swap saves some weight but that weight is from the rear and negates the saving somewhat.
  11. Are you truly that fucking stupid? You can't see the DS isn't even bolted up? :gtfo:
  12. It's been on svtperformance for a while..... I think it's a Sticky.
  13. Stock sleeve next to the much stronger aftermarket. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3164.jpg Used a big socket and my BFH to put the new sleeve in. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3166.jpg Put everything together with the factory .032 shim,,,this gave me about .0025 end play. This is too much so out came everything again. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3167.jpg I replaced the factory .032 shim with a .034 shim. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3172.jpg This put me right at about .0005,,,good enough. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3176.jpg I did this while I had the tranny out for the Cooling Mod.
  14. I did this mod a couple years back,,, thought maybe some of the cobra owners would be interested in a little writeup. First I removed the front part of the tranny case.At this point you take the stock unit out and replace it with the 26 spline. Very easy. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3156.jpg This is the stock piece compared to the 26 spline. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3159.jpg This is the bearing cup and the factory .032 shim removed from the front cover. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3161.jpg To remove the stock TOB Sleeve I just used a BFH. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3162.jpg A few smacks and out it came. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/3163.jpg
  15. No, I swapped to the solid when I installed the kenne bell. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/HOSTIL1/Solid%20Cobra%20Rear/IMG_0609.jpg
