  1. Damn these rankings are really fucked up. Nothing else you can say about it. It's very clear that people just "mail in their votes" there is no downside you cannot have your vote taken away (least I don't believe?) for a bad vote...

I'm not worried by the end of the year 98% of this gets worked out as more teams play eachother but some of the shit they do makes zero sense.

Alabama is just the example I'm not mad they are higher but it just doesn't make any sense.

Alabama loses to a 2 loss team unranked team and goes down 4 slots.

Ohio state loses to at the time undefeated #11 ranked team and goes down 6 slots.

That's unexplainable. Prove me wrong. I'm not being a homer either it just literly makes zero sense.

And it just doesn't happen to Ohio state either. I actually had a problem last week or two with us being above Oregon. Didn't make any sense either. Both one loss and they beat us...

    *shrugs*

These polls need MORE logic and less guess work.

  2. Yeah I'll just say this college football season is probably the most "level" playing field I've maybe ever seen in college football. Especially in the playoff era for sure.

Very interested and a lot of Chaos to come in the coming weeks. Nowhere near a clear picture of what the playoff might look like.

  3. Title... Haven't scraped a car in a long while just wondering if anyone knows a rough estimate.

Side question I have newer tires with nice (stock but nice) rims on it. Anyone have any luck with selling them as a cash + trade for your junk tires/wheels so it could still roll or should I not even bother? Tires have less than 10k on them and look perfect.

I'm in Cleveland too so sorry if anyone's interested in either option.

  4. Each to their own but are you renting or what?

I would take a PMI payment + home equity > rent anyday of the week. Not sure your exact situation but my mortgage is barely more than what I was paying in rent.

If I was you I wouldn't be to hung up on the PMI/20% down thing especially if you are renting.

  5. If you have a good job/income and a good credit score you will not need close to 20% for a down payment.

I don't have my closing documents in front of me but we closed with a downpayment somewhere around 5%.

If you are renting the best possible thing you could do is get into owning as fast as possible. I rented for way to long. Could of had half my house paid off by now. Worst financial mistake I ever made was not buying sooner.

Now the bad part is it's a sellers market as home values are skyrocketing but I wouldn't let that scare you as long as you secure a great rate (which are out there now)

I would put every single penny you could reasonably afford towards your house goals. Because 100% of every rent payment goes to absolutely nothing you own. That just gives you a roof for another month. Soon as you start making mortgage payments at least a portion of that money goes directly to something you can sell and recoupe maybe even gain on if you do upgrades to your home and the market appreciates.

Edit: If you are thinking you want 20% so you don't have to pay PMI who cares. Again this goes back to renting vs. owning. Least some of the money you are paying is going to owning something. The measly PMI payment that is included in my mortgage is well worth working towards owning something. Not to mention property can be a great financial booster. My brother years ago bought a foreclosure in an up and coming area, did some updates (modest and almost all of it himself, normal stuff paint, affordable kitchen upgrades, etc.) then sold his house for easily 2x what he bought it for.

  6. Was actually giving Stroud the benefit of the doubt first two weeks. Felt like today was his worst game. Only throw I was really impressed by was to Olave and it was called back from the holding/hands to the face whatever the call was.

Defense looked better for the most part but still gave up a lot of stupid plays and missed assignments. Hard to tell if they improvements were because of changes the stafff & players made or if its just they are looking somewhat better against an inferior team.

Either way not much of an improvement from last week. Gonna be a long season i'm afraid.

  7. Honestly thought they played a really good game jokes aside. Chiefs especially that offense you have to play nearly mistake free football and they did close to that. Not even really mad about bakers interception it wasn't great but he played damn near perfect before.

But that punt... Damn you can't fuck that up so bad. Worst is I feel like once he recovered he could have actually still kicked it quickly. Idk maybe not but it looked like he had time. But that was definitely browns of old.

  8. Really good/interesting first NFL weekend thats for sure. Can't believe the steelers upseting Buffalo like that pretty sure noone had that at all especially like that. And then lets not even talk about Green Bay? WTF I have Rodgers of course in fantasy. Lost me my first week.
  9. Wow... I really think Stroud could grow and be a decent/good quarterback but someone's gotta tell him he's never gonna make it if he overthrows 70% of his balls. As previously mentioned if we didn't have amazing receivers bailing him out we wouldn't have been in either of these two games.

That being said I really don't think Stroud had a bad game, thats not why we lost. Defense is the #1 and only reason we lost this game. Defense was bad the entire game. What did they come up with in total two? maybe three stops max the entire game? Hell in the second quarter I was just begging for them to stop and get them to kick a field goal and they couldn't even manage that the entire fucking game.

Defense is bad and defensive coaching was not any better. Its a long season prove me long, coach these boys better and coach better and change my mind. But after these two weeks there is nothing else you can say about the defense and defensive coaching. Its bad and not working.

Two tougher opponents than we usually get early for week 1 and 2 for sure but thats no excuse because they both came ready to play.

  10. Not sure of the cars "status" but I had a rough highschool with cars and I eventually wound up in saturn station wagon with a dumb looking attachment on the front that my parents used to tow it behind their camper. If changing the car is an option give her the ugliest slowest car around.

I hate it and it was definitely a punishment haha.

Also not trying to judge but two weeks really doesn't seem like an awfully long period of punishment from when I was in Highschool 13-14+ years ago. I remember summer long punishments lol...

One last thing, I absolutely would make them pay out of pocket for whatever the repairs, insurance cost, etc. Whether that is in allowance lost, extra work around the house, or literally handing you cash from their part time job. It doesn't get much more real than paying for the damages you cost.

Thats how I learned... I wrecked a car my dad had bought for my 16th birthday and payed it back to cover the cost.

Not saying I'm the best/safest driver but I definitely learned about consequences hahahaha.

  11. I want that. I was visiting with my dad over the weekend and he still has his 1963 D4 caterpillar on our farm back in Ohio. I'd love to bring it down here, restore it and paint it up in army color and markings to match my truck and haul it around to shows, touch a trucks etc.

That be awesome. I love your 6x6 so jelly... :masturboy:

  12. Going to miss Hawaii but no-one really cared much for California anyway right?

    I kid... kinda

I mean while somewhat alarming to think about, the nuclear "arms" race was over a long time ago when the major powers gained enough ordinance to destroy the world several times over. All a super stealth nuclear torpedo would give them would be first strike capabilities at best. Then followed by either the end of Russia or the End of the World either of which hasn't really changed for 30-40 years. I think all sides know what the potential world ending capabilities of a nuclear attack on another nuclear power would do.

Even if for say the United States was the target of a singular nuclear attack and as a result we did not respond with blowing a country into oblivion (this likely changing or destroying the Earth as we know it (least if that country was the size of Russia or China for say). I would think the entire world would turn on/against whatever against the attacking country.
