  1. Dave, that's a 46 Ford coupe you see there. I have a wrecked 91 fox body convertible that's gonna donate it's drivetrain for the coupe; already put Mustang 2 suspension under the front of it. Was gonna chop the top, but getting used to the idea of leaving it alone. Think it will be even more unusual that way.
  2. Thanks guys, went to both those sites, but just like on this one, it'll be months before I can get any real answers as I attempt to join and jump through all the hoops required to join these elite circles. WTF
  3. Did you notice the hood pin on the bottom rear of the fender? I made the whole front end stock sheet metal a tilt forward affair so it would be easier to work on.
  4. Got a low milage 5.4 from a 97 van and a 96 Mustang and would like to merge the two, anyone had any experience with this swap? I also plan to add an Eaton Lightening blower I found on e-bay, it's brand new with manifold, injectors, wiring harness and all. Also picked up a Lightening computer. How hard can it be? I could go with either a 5 speed or automatic. Any thoughts?
  5. Thanks guys, hope to converse with other Ford guys both new and old. I understand carbs and distributors and I'm working on the newer computer controlled fuel injected cars too. I've even been known to talk to chevy guys and rice burners from time to time. Although I've always thought: what's the point, but hey, that's just me.
  6. OK thanks guys, got the hint and put pics on other post.
  7. Want to do any trading? I have tons of Ford and Mustang cars and parts. 98 V-6 auto green Mustang that needs a little Paint work; 96 V-6 auto car that is hit RF (frame and core support not bent); good top loader 4- speed trans for 60s Mustangs and Fairlanes; new in-the-box Ford Racing PI heads; 2000, V-6 5 speed wrecked parts car; wrecked but good drive train, 5.0 auto 91 Fox body convertable etc.
  8. Found some old pics from back in the day and some newer ones of my current cars. The 54 Ford was a C gas car that went 10s, The Fairmont (shot of the engine) is a 460 car with a C-6 and 4 links, hoping to go 10s and eventually 9s with it. The 96 Mustang in the snow storm is my current driver;(well it will be again soon) it's a GT, 4.6, 5 speed car that is currently totally stock with no compression on one cylinder and smokes like a fright train. Fortunately I have a spare engine waiting in the garage for it. Just took delivery of a set of stainless steel long tube headers, Professional Products intake, plemum and 75mm throttle body which I'm going to add with a new set of Ford Racing PI heads and maybe a lower gear and better clutch. Also just got a bran new TwEECer I plan to tune the computer with. Anyone out there had any experience tuning with the TwEECer? You know how that goes; you're never really done with the modifications. Let me hear from you other Ford guys, got plenty of ideas and Ford cars and parts to swap. I think I have at least 20 cars right now. http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq106/wildhorse35/scan0001.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq106/wildhorse35/scan0002.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq106/wildhorse35/P3084478.jpg
  9. Hi Wildhorse here, New guy to this forum stuff, so hope you will take it easy on me. Would it help if I said Rick sent me? Any way, I'm from Mount Vernon, Ohio and have been a Ford nut all my life; first built a 427 tunnel port powered 54 Ford that eventually ran 10's in the quarter, then a full race 72 Pinto drag racer with a 351 cleveland engine, a 9.90 car. Currently trying to finish up a 78 Fairmont back half car with a 460, C-6 and 4 links. My street car is a 96 Mustang GT, 4.6, 5 speed and I'm slowly learning how to tune the computers on the newer fuel injected Fords. On the back burner waiting is my next project: an 03 Cobra body-in-white that I bought up in Detroit. I have a 5.4 Triton truck engine for it and a Lightening blower waiting in the wings. Sooo many cars, sooo little time. Oh yeah, I have a few 67 Fairlanes and a 46 Ford coupe that I'm slowly turning into a street rod. Any other Ford guys out there? Looking forward to swapping ideas and learning all I can.
