  1. And I thought I was bad when I was your age lol. My worst was two reckless ops in a week back in the day (it was just a small burnout , if they wanted to see a real reckless op, I could have really shown them one but I didn't
  2. many years ago I had to goto court. The first trial was "guilty, not guilty or no contest". I went the not guilty route and then they scheduled the trial. I didn't have a attorney, just represented myself. Before I went to the court, the other attorney asked what I didn't like about the ticket and I said the points on my license. I forget exactly how it played out, but I agreed with her beforehand and when we went in I just had to pay the fine and no points. This was almost 20 years ago though so it may be different now. (PS - it was a reckless op ticket. Wasn't drinking, would never do that and drive. I had just hooked up nitrous and tested in a business district in the middle of the night... my luck as usual, it just so happened we were both back there at the same time lol.)
  3. Looks like you already got that part covered. Surprised they didn't come from the factory that way, looks so much better
  4. you might want to go 383 too, 30 more cubes is about 30 more ft-lb with nothing else changed.
  5. nice! I think the C5 is hands down the best modern looking Corvette. Next you need to get the lettering inserts for the back Corvette and a exhaust plate... they look nekkid without em
  6. another thumbs up for the ams. I also run the 1000. You might be able to find a good deal on one because the 2000 is either out or coming out soon and people will be wanting to upgrade
  7. I would like to see what events there are. I'm not real big into bracket racing, plus my et can vary 1/4 second round to round lol. Still working out alot of bugs, so far been 8.6 @ 166 with 60ft times of 1.7 because I haven't got the converter and tune right to get any boost until about 200 ft. Eventually should be able to qualify for some of the nmca 10.5, but even on its best day wouldn't have enough @ss to go any serious rounds with those guys
  8. Glad its still 1/4, I would imagine the shutdown is decent too. Car never has been to NT, you might be thinking of Ed Parker's car.
  9. I joined the forum a long time ago, used to live in Columbus in the early 90's. Live in St Louis now but moving back to Dayton next month soon as the weather warms up a little so hope to be around more. Not sure if you have heard it in Ohio or not, but Gateway Raceway closed so it was time to move lol. Went to Kil Kare a couple times last year but plan to make several trips to National Trail this year too. Is National Trail 1/4 mile still? Hope so. Here at Gateway we would run a heads up once a month on t&t. More for fun than anything, not sure if any tracks in Ohio do that (heard Norwalk no longer runs their Chaos) Here is the car, Bruno is out now, but should have it back in plenty of time for the season http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/59062_103019416428163_100001603142056_20327_915858_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/76384_116438305086274_100001603142056_127415_5886788_n.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/58905_100660896664015_100001603142056_2521_5652089_n.jpg
  10. Not bad today, about 40. Later this week supposed to get down to 1 degree Typically we have the same weather Ohio does, but its about one day earlier and maybe a few degrees warmer. This isn't so bad in the winter, but the extra few degrees are miserable in July and August.
  11. Sorry - didn't know you had to post pics. These are not really worthy of what anyone would want to see. Had it since 1990, when I used to drive there, it was a 377, went low 11's 1/4 mile at just under 120 (no traction). As you can see, its once again work in progress. 10pt cage, mini tub, tied front and rear frame, housing floater, ladder bars, narrowed 12 bolt, glass hood, doors and front bumper. Sub frame notched,... Not decided on engine yet. Either a BBC or LSX. http://www.caliwampus.com/graphics/Nova1.jpg http://www.caliwampus.com/graphics/Nova2.jpg http://www.caliwampus.com/graphics/Nova3.jpg http://www.caliwampus.com/graphics/Nova4.jpg
  12. Late 80's resident of Dayton, but occasionally drove the old Nova to Columbus to cruises (4.56 gears and 26" tall street slicks made for a long trip on hwy 70 ). Just stopping by to see whats going on these days
