  1. AJ, This is a "quick and dirty" image. We'll do better this year. http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp66/ReddyZ06/cbb3942f.jpg Hey, remember when you used to work at Richart? Mike
  2. OVR has some loaner helmets at their events. Personally, I would go to the Iron Pony, they seem to always have new helmets at great prices (many in the $30-$60 range). If rules are still the same as they used to be, for autocross you can use either a MA or SA rated helmet. The SA is required for most roadcourse use due mostly to the Nomex material. I guess fire is not a concern in autoX so MA is legal too. If you plan to hit some road courses later you may want to buy the more expensive SA rated helmet now. Mike
  3. No problem, TnT is a good place for ride-a-longs. Mike
  4. I should mark my dashboard that way! Mike
  5. AJ, We'll make it happen. Mike
  6. AJ, Great News!!! Good to hear. Mike
  7. Kind of a hi-jack of this thread... I never realized how many photos I took ended up here - or how many had cone killers in them. Mike
  8. Lets hope for good news at 2pm then.
  9. AJ, I hope things work out for the best! Mike
  10. Actually, I don't worry about how many cones I hit. If I make it thru a run without honking the horn or turning on the wipers ... it's a good run. Mike p.s. seriously, everybody hits cones at one time or another.
  11. Another point that should not be overlooked is how difficult it is to get a good sized lot to run on. Not everybody that manages a parking lot will listen to your request to use their lot. Both BMC and OVR SCCA have those contacts already and they have the insurance contacts too. Of the two organizations, I would rather work with the SCCA because they tend to have bigger lots available to them. Miatas seem to handle the smaller lots better than my fat car. Mike
  12. When MrAutoX checks in he may have contact info for the Ohio Valley Region SCCA autocross chair (Andy). They have helped other groups run events before by bringing timing lights, cones and workers. Mike
  13. As I understand it, that is a result of you guys changing your state governor. Mike
  14. Really nice looking Vette. Great photography, sometimes clouds work nice to soften the light. Mike
  15. I've never tried to understand classing ... but there is a LS1 motored ride in XP. Mike
  16. I wonder how this could work since the cameras use IR light to photograph the license plate and eliminate shadows? Mike
  17. AJ, You're going to have fun with that combo this year! I like the graph. Mike
  18. Hey Ashley. That V looks good "waking the dead" at the cemetery in the background ... one of the last races we'll have at Cooper I suppose. Mike
  19. I agree, think autocross not road course and have a blast. Mike
  20. I love that '64 Malibu. I have a 64 Cutlass from California badged as a 442 taking up valuable space in my garage. It started out to be a street cruiser, but when I got married it turned into just a disassembled roller. I think it'll eventually become a road course car - who knows. Mike
  21. AJ, Seems like we've know each other for years .. oh wait we have .. a couple anyway. See you at the auto-x soon. Mike
  22. Brian, I've seen your "Not Brian" name here but I didn't make the connection. Cool to see you in a rear wheel drive GM after all those years with that very hot Civic. Mike p.s. I remember hearing about columbusracing from you those many years ago. I should have joined here then.
  23. I may have seen a Red SS with Black just off Sancus. I used to have a Black '99 SS (looks like there is one in SinisterSS' signature). What a great car! I really miss that one. Mike
  24. Looks like the perfect way to relax at the end of a day. Mike
