Am interested in selling motor seprate blownyellowgt had before and went 11.2 on a soft 60 and the older owner ran it and said he went between 6.95-7.0sin the 1/8th( I read this somewhere but Ile have to find out where I read this at) .. also Anthony was interested in the car a little while ago so if I can work a good deal for both motor and car I will sell
  2. Bought this car and now I am wanting something more of a nice daily car or a more street friendly track car.

     

    Built 351 .30 over, 9" rear end, 456 gears, ARP bolts on everything, main girdle, 7qt oil pan, high presure oil pump, forged bottom end, edelbrock performer heads 2.02/1.60, 5500 stall, reverse valve body C4(built), Hurst promatic shifter, Victor Jr intake port matched, welded solid mounts, pro form modified 750 holley carb, 90/10 and 50/50 struts, Lunati special purpose cam .540/.554,1.6 aluminum roller rockers, MSD everything....etc.

     

    Runs good and is a 10second car all motor.

     

    I am rilly looking for trades but if cash comes I can make a deal also Ile put the price at 8kOBO don't be shy with offers the worst I can say is no... Rilly dont need another race car I need a street friendly ride.

    ( old pictures but the car looks the same nothing changed apperancd wise). But now has full msd ignition , alternator, waterpump brackets etc.

    I used the car as a street car but when the car did hit the track it went 11.7x.

    all the stearing wheel controls for the radio work, ttops don't leak, all and all this is a great car to drive around town and then go hit the track whenever you want.

     

    The car is straight, no rust issues, a good clean looking car. Well maintained.

    The A/C system has all new components in it and just needs charged.

     

     

     

    The only bad thing about the car is that now the transmission is starting to slip. from what I have been told it is eather a bad seal which needs replaced( cheap) or on the worst case scenario it will need clutches and steel replaced( which I would recommend chuck over at T&T transmissions for the work since he has already been inside and built the transmission and he is a great guy)

     

    There is also a cheaper and from what I hear better route where people are swaping out the 4l60E( gm cars and light duty) and going with the 4l80E ( in the GM trucks and more heavy duty transmission). you can find a 4L80e for some rilly good prices and just throw them in and they handle all the power you could want. also if you go this route you can get chuck to fix the transmission and sell it for a good chunk of change( if I remember right one he just built sold on here for 1400 which was a steal of a price!!)

  5. If his dad won't consider this he's a fucking idiot. Those SL2s run forever, every single one I've had traded in had 200k on it and the owner was fine getting $200 because they got all their money's worth and more out of that car.

     

    Tell him to pull his head out of his ass and that a Corolla or Civic with 80k more miles is nowhere near as good a buy as this Saturn.

     

    That's what I was thinking...I have had 6so far and just sold my other ...no power options, broken suspension, more miles, all beat up for 2k and that was still a good deal this one is all optioned loaded, 40k miles, body in good condition for 3250 or whatever I just want out of it now that I have a company car haha...I was going to keep it but if someone wants it Ile get rid of her lol
